IM messages are a funny game, you can't assess tone or intention, so it is easy to get your wires crossed. Also, it is easy to cut people off (i have) but the blocking you was intentional, and, therefore yes very rude! Maybe (as she was so rich) it was her butler typing it for her? lol.
The thing that I find more annoying is, when a profile clearly states that they are friendly, reply to all messages, not just here for true love but open to meeting new people, blah, blah. So you send them a message, and, you know they have read it, and they DO NOT reply! Whats that all about?
There is no excuse these days for not having an up to date picture of yourself. I took mine with a camera phone and bluetooth' to PC, it took minutes to do.
It is better to have no picture at all, than one that is misleading.
As for some profiles, i mean REALLY, its either photo's of men with no t shirts, or, endless pictures of cats, cars, whatever which no one in the photo? Whats that all about?
Yes I live in Lincoln of Lincolnshire (of course) most people have never heard of Lincoln, and, i have to tell them it near Nottingham so they can gauge where the heck it is!
I now Newark well, parents used to drive over there to go to Morrisons before Lincoln had one!! sad, but true.
Lincoln has changed beyond all recognition, after the University came, its now a complete "student" city.
But, luckily I found out before it went further than coffee and kisses on the cheek.
A few emails, and one call exchanged after "found out" and his response was......... well what do you expect on these sites? He tried to justify his dishonesty with "we were separated at the time i joined the site, but, she came back and i forgot to delete the profile"
I am usually a really good judge of character, but he slipped right under the radar!!
It would depend what you had chosen to do on the blind date.
A meal, i see no reason in cutting it short, ie, no dessert and making your excuses, be polite etc
Drinks, here too I can see a diplomatic way out of the situation.
The worse possible thing is to let a date drag on when its not going anywhere. No one wants to be the "bad date" and say, look this has been an enjoyable evening but I don't see a future here!
Personally, I say It. No point messing about. But perhaps that is why I am single as I am brutally honest and very often too direct!!!
RE: HELP!! I need some advice from both a male and a female point of view
Tell him first, in a light hearted way that he obviously has forgotten to delete or amend his profile! If he doesn't amend or delete, then you can tell the Mrs.
