i rekon also if they reduce the payment and reinvest in health care and establishing government run creches so that the single mothers can go back to work would help greatly.
my prediction is that they will put cigarettes up by €2 leave the pint alone as most of the politicians are publicans. Put a 1cent tax on text messages increase the tax levy by a further 1%, put a further tax on pensions and reduce the childrens allowance by about €10.
If my suspicions are correct I would also like minister lenihane to take a look at social welfare payments. Fraud is the single biggest issue when it comes to claiming social welfare. I would prefer if it was policed better. The whole system needs to be reformed. I never received dole I was always refused during that short period between college and work life, while others were and still are playing the system.
There has to be a better method of getting benefit to the most deservedly and at the same time weed out the freeloaders.
He needs to ask himself two questions does the current payment provide an acceptable minimum level of comfort and living standard?
Does it encourage or discourage a return to employment?
I sure he will see that the current payment is more than enough.
If you’re single living away from home you receive €204 plus rent allowance.
no wonder people don't want to work. there's no incentive
i don't think it's fear of rejection i think you're like me you create an image of the person from their online persona you're afraid that when you do meet the individual that they are going to be totally different.
you fear that this will be a complete disappointment.
to tell the truth the first people i met off here were bluebell and minx a few weeks back and to tell the truth they are as mad online off line.
it's defo broken my fear of meeting someone.
i haven't been in a relationship for over 8years i think also you get used to your own company and it can be hard to let someone close again for fear of being hurt all over again (personally speaking)
i don't think it should be there an advert isn't going to stop someone from ending things. i know if it was me the samaritans would be the last people i would be thinking of contacting.
Good or bad marketing? I was out walking earlier when i noticed the Samartians now have a sign at a known suicide spot at the Cork Docks.
I know we as a nation have historically preferred to hide suicides away, not least because up until recently it was a sin in the eyes of the Catholic Church and victims couldn't be buried on consecrated ground.
But I'm glad to say times have changed, with the church now encouraging its young people to seek help if they are feeling depressed or suicidal.
The HSE also run suicide awarness in schools. Do we really need these adverts at known sites?
or could they be looking for the five year business plan. there's a theory also that in times of recession divorce rates drop as people can't afford to have one.
wonder is that the case anyone know where we can get the figures
