You are correct on all counts. And I got news for the fans of communism: If being the best at something is only going to net me the same as someone who is the worst at that something, I just don't have much incentive to be the best anymore, do I?
No worries. Like lots of things, it looks great on paper...but the practical application is a bi*ch!
Most people who are out of work or who are homeless *choose* to be so....not all, but most. Anyone can get a *job*....might not be the job you really want but...a job is a job...I've had my share, believe me....
I don't know where you are coming from here: I work in a hospital...we get people with no insurance, illegals, etc and they are all given the same standard of care. That's the law...at least it is here in NJ.
Besides...health care is a business: part of the capitalist system. Do you think that McDonalds should give you free burgers just because you are hungry? Don't think so....
You have the right to life, liberty and the *pursuit* of happiness....not free healthcare....
I think you better read up on the first amendment. This falls under the heading of political discourse...people are free to talk about whatever form of government they wish.
Now, picking up a gun and trying to change things with force...thats another ball game...
Sure...good points....except for one little problem...
No one decides what job they get...the state does. If the state says you are going to be a plumber: that's it. Your a plumber....what if you want to be a musician?
Free health care? Go to Moscow and ask the old timers about their free health care...I'm sure you will come up wanting....
Capitalism may be, arguably, a very poor form of government....but its the best we are ever going to come up with.
The founding fathers chose the republic method because they understood the dangers of "rule by majority"...
"Rule by majority" can easily become oppressive if left to its own devices...Lets say, as an illustration, that whites in America, being the "majority" of the population at about 68%, decide to all vote that all non-whites must be forcibly removed...
Does that sound oppressive? Oh yea...but in a representative republic, "rule by majority" can be overridden by sensible minds...common sense...no "mob rule" mentality would, ostensibly, be allowed...
Don't know...but it sounds like he may have succeeded....if there are people who even *consider* the possibility of making this failed philosophy of losers work...then I guess he wins.
I have wondered about that myself...I have shrapnel wounds all over my arms and stuff...of course the leg is gone, and the scar at the bottom of my stump, oops: residual limb (gotta be politically correct here...don't wanna offend myself)!! Well..that is kinda weird looking and I worry about that....
Guess I'll have to find someone who *likes* scars?
I don't blame them: the economic climate has become so hostile to business...the tax & spend politicians have forced them to move to greener pastures...lets create some incentives to bring them back, open more factories, create more jobs...forcing them into anything will, inevitably, backfire....it always does...
They don't exist to create welfare....they exist to make money!
Well, that would be part of the *no show* job in some plumbers union or something...I promise: we'll make it up on the back end....plus there are lots of other "fringe benefits" to compensate...
RE: Was i really that rude ??????
LOL...I was just being facetious....
