RE: long distance relationships, does it work?

i have a very close relationship with my mam and dad ,
im good friends with my kids dad and he loves them and they love him a lot,,
it wouldnt be fair for me to choose to live far away oer my kids happiness,
no man is worth more than my kids,
if i had no ties here i would have moved away years ago

RE: long distance relationships, does it work?

i wouldnt date anyone that lives a long distance from me,
when you love someone you want to be near them and its not gonna be easy if you are from a different city/country,
i wouldnt leave my family for a man or take my kids away from their dad to live with a guy in a far away place,,
but i think it can work well for some people but they gotta be prepared to take the risk

the drinker

this is something my mum wrote to my dad when he was a heavy drinker back in the 70s

WHAT IS A WIFE?
you might well say , you had another drink today.
you have another row today,.
she says she'll leave you ,then she shan't.
you say your sory but then she can't
then out you'll go fed up and down
wishing she'd have a bath -and drown
but while your out she'd sit and cry and yet again ,she'll wonder why?
when only last night ,you held and kissed and she loved you even though you were pissed.
most of the day and half of the night you'prop up a bar and get tight.
this time its you who wonders why?
with yet another drink and a sigh,
shall i go home and make it up?
or shall i stay here for another sup?
after all she'll still be around,
you think as you hunt for your last pound,
NO,sod it,go home,buy her a flower,
go home, make love if you have the power,
if not theres always tomorrow
you can go out again and drown your sorrows
