well, it IS the public who ends up on a jury panel...and in this day and age you would be hard pressed to find a panel that did'nt have some kind of a preconcieved opinion...even judges have been swayed for one reason or another...but still...it's a good system...weither it's good or not, it's what we got! ...but i still think it is a good system...
one of my all time favorite movies...yep, i've seen it atleast 12 times...
one of henry fondas best performances...
it's a sad sad story all the way around..that poor little girl...but then again, we always see it in that light...just maybe, it is WE who are the poor ones...
you know what's crazy ?...there are several states now that want to impliment a new law...the law will be this...if your child is missing and you don't report it in a certain amount of time you'll be charged with a crime...that's not what's crazy...what's crazy is, it is'nt already concedered a crime...it damn well should be ....
it's not what gets me about the trial, it's what gets me about the intense coverage of it...not just during the trial but before...when it was all happening...the media pegged her as being guilty from the get go...i don't mean to sound like an unjudging person because i've done my fair share of judging as has everybody...I TOO pegged her for being guilty, when the fact of the matter is {and the most real fact is} i was'nt there...i don't know...if she's guilty, she'll get hers in the end...WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND...
if you'll remember the elizebeth smart case, there was a guy {can't remember his name...which is a sad epitaph for him} who worked at the smart house in the way of a yard keeper or pool guy...not really important...he was pegged for the kidnapping...he had some kind of record and the media jumped all over it...so much so that he looked to be the one...he was taken to jail and grilled and was going to go to trial for the kidnapping of elizebeth smart...he was sooo stressed over the whole thing, he had a heart attack while being held in jail...he died....and everybody knows the outcome of that story...it was someone else that did the crime...the bottom line is this....i don't know...i was'nt there...were you ?...it's funny how we can all become judge and jury in matters we only know half the story to...all because of our one sided perceptions...but i guess that's part of human nature...
i'll step down off of my soap box....for now anyway...
RE: what get me about the Anthony trial.
