the bible is not about relegion, the bible is about trueth....christ was'nt about relegion he was of that trueth...jesus was always bashing the relegious leaders of that time...a good definision of relegion is this...relegion is mans attempt to bridge a gap to GOD....there is nothing we can do {..ie...''good works''...} to please a holy GOD...we are sinners...all of us...it is inharant...we are born in sin...GOD can't have anything to do with sin or sinners...but, GOD has bridged a gap to us...that bridge is what christ did in our place....the sins of the world were cast on him....thats what christ meant, in the garden, when he said...''if there be any other way, let this cup pass from me''....he was'nt talking about the crusifixion...and when christ died...the bible says the vail was ripped ....the priest's of that time, kept holy things of god behind that vail and they would make prayers for you behind the vail...the vail was ripped to show us that we did'nt need anyone to pray for us...we could pray for ourselves, threw christ..........there are alot of relegions out there, and the one thing they have in commen is, they all say ...if I do this or, if I do that, i'm ok, i'm good with god....and thats totally opposite of what the bible says...the bible says that ALL our good works are as filthy rags in the sight of GOD....and today we have alot of relegions saying that god is going to bless you and make you rich...{if you will give to the church} well, what does the bible say about money?....hmmm...check it out!!!...and besides that, what IS the church...?....the church is'nt an organinazation...its not the vatican and the pope....its not jerry farwell...its the people who are in need......if you want answers about the bible and GOD...go read the bible....and by the way...bible is a greek word, that means book....the important word in the title ''the bible''....is THE...it IS, THE book..............
For the record the bible has been proven time and time again to be historically incorrect , and all archaeological/geographical evidence that supports stories in the bible does not support the biblical account's of any of the stories ,...............this is flat out wrong....the alot of things in the bible has been proven to be credable....but, findings have been kept on the hush...one exsample comes to mind...an archeologist tracing thr rout of the irealites exodose from egypt, descovered a pillar on both sides of the gulf of agabah {im not sure of the correct spelling}, wich is part of the red sea...the pillars were erected by king solomon to commemorate the red sea crossing...this same archeologist, i believe his name is ron white, descovered that inbetween these two pillars, was a natural shelf under the water...and all along this under water shelf were chariot wheels...four, six, and eight spoke chariot wheels...wich corrispond with the egyptian dynisty of that same time period....whats strange is how it was never mentioned in main stream media....
in the latin language, to put an A in front of a word means the opposite....ie...thiest...one who believes in GOD....A in front of it...athiest....heres a good example of that, that is very apropriate to some of the response's on this thread.......muse.....meaning to think....amuse, litterally means to not think!!!
how many gods are there?....from a humanistic point of few...there are as many gods as people...because a humanist believes we are all gods...charles manson?...jeffery dohmer?...hmmm....who created God?...just as God created the universe and everything in the universe...wich includes time....there was a beginning of everything, including space and time...consequently, god is outside of time...this means that God is unchanging...asking who made GOD shows a lack of understanding...no one made GOD he is infinate...outside of time, and existed since and before time began...GOD's name?....yahwa...translation...''I AM''...not ,i was or, i'm gonna' be...but, ''I AM''.......christ and christianity?...christ a myth?....all the deciples ran when christ was arrested...they all ran and hid for there live's....but later, after christ arose...as he said he would...and they saw him...they all had a drastic change of attitude....everyone of them died for there belief and what they saw to be true...hardly any of thier deaths are recorded in the new testement...but they are all recorded in other ancient historians wrighting's...and for that matter so was the acounts of christ and what he did...as well as his trial and crusifiction...its recorded that every deciple took his death for what they knew to be true...all they had to do was deniey christ as being THE christ...but they would not....why?...i don't know about any of you but, i know i would'nt take my death for a myth...especially in the way they died.........name one prophesy that has come true?....i'll name one, well a few more then one....it was prophesied that isreal would be taken captive in the land of persia { wich is now iran }, and they were....it was prophesiesed that they would be scattered to the four corners of the earth, and they were...it was prophesiesed that they would be hated by all nations and they were....and it was prophesiesed that they would return to isreal and isreal would be a nation again...and it has....with some calculation one can calculate to the very date that isreal became a nation from prophesy....and there are more prophesies to come...concerning all of us....don't harden your heart towards GOD....it was also prophesiesed that with isreal's becoming a nation...this generation would not pass without seeing all prophesies fulfilled...so, there are more prophesies to come....and they don't look very good....think about it!!!
