4000 Commercial flights have been cancelled on the East coast of the United State. Flying back to Washington hopping over Hurricane Sandy, places not just him into danger.....but the 125 WH staffers and press corp that is with him.
So after showing no courage on Benghazi.....the President is going to show bravato with the lives of himself and over 100s other by flying back to Washington....for a photo opt...in the middle of Hurricane Sandy.
Even big and strong airplanes like Air Forces One...can run into trouble in a hurricane.
The press is saying that this is chance for the President to make up lost ground....that he will be able to show himself in the effects of Hurricane Sandy....handing out Federal Dollars. As a pilot, I say placing your self into a hurricane is a dumb thing to do. Unless you really have to do it.
This is the President that chiding Mitt Romney with today we have aircraft carrier and boats that go under the water....they are called submarines. Well Mr. President we also have SATCOM and real time communications aboard Air Forces One. Any decision you can make in the Oval Office, you can make on the plane.
Yet over 100 are risking their lives in a Hurricane for your photo opts.
The HMS Bounty, was the British naval ship in the late 1800s that a British crew mutanity on. Well this is film vessel of the orginal HMS Bounty.
It was caught by Sandy off the NC coast. The crew has taken to life rafts and the coast guard is going out to bring them in shore for safety. Seas are 18 feet plus. Winds are 40mph. The coast Guard is debating to send helo or cutter to aid, Think the President is going to get into this decision?
Now the President in US Air Force One is going to fly right over this tragic and maybe deadly situation. Is he not going to be able to do one thing for the 17 man crew of the HMS Bounty. Not one single thing.
Even when he gets back to Washington....for the 50m American that Sandy is going to impact....he is not going to be able to do very much.
This trip back to Washington is show him...Presidential and in control. But with the communications on Air Forces One....there is little reason to send him....and to risk him in Hurricane Sandy. But that is what they decided to so.....
Politically, Hurricane Sandy....just might push Romney into the White House. This storm is going to be here a while. If it reduces the NE vote....the DEM strong hold states..... REP voter are known to turn out in foul weather to vote. DEMs stay home in foul weather
Romney has a better chance to take...VA, NH, PN.
Some are saying that the western Rockies snow storm will be in the mid west on Nov 6th....that mean Romney has a better chance in MI, OH, WI, IO....
So between Sandy and snow...even the weather is on Romney side presently.
What did the state's and cities do before FEMA when a hurricane hit? Did the power lines lay on the ground for days? Did the phone service stay down for months? No. It was the locals that repaired the local situation. Brought it back to functioning.
They did not call Washington and the White House for permission or ask the President to help. They just did it.
Dude wants every decision in the country being made in the Oval Office. I have a hang nail, Mr. President....what should I do? Gesh Dude. The United State is not Denmark. If I had to get a decision on what to have for lunch today from the White House....I would starve.
This entire U turn thingee for hurricane SAdny...just shows how this administration is indecisive.
Clearly they knew Sandy was there. Yet this UCF rally is to be a big one. Done at the new UCF football stadium. So the President is caught between a rock and hard place. Stay in Wasington and redirect the relief efforts or do the rally....and take a chance to get kept out of the capitol...because Sandy is going to close major NE airport down.
They cannot make up their minds what is more important? Relief management of a massive storm or rally.....relief manangement or rally.....relief management or rally.
So they fly to Orlando...someone says....Mr. President you just might be stuck out of the Capitol for a week if Andrews and Dulles get closed down for a time....like New Orleans was during Katrina.
Opps.....back to Washington.
But they should have thought this thru before that big birds wheels ever lifted off of Andrews. This baby $150,000 per hour when it is in the air. This aborted trip to Orlando....just cost the taxpayers.....$900,000
Let me tell you something. The state of Florida and our electric/phone companies will do more to get the NE state back up to running than the FED government will.
Already at the FL/GA border and headed north are convoys of power company work truck/crews, and phone company truck/crews headed to impacted area.
That is exactly the way you cut the FED government and its size Dude. You give bloated programs to State and you give them to the private sector.
That is how he going to reduce the FED budget........and the massive debt.
Florida can handle it own post hurricane response. It out local private electric firm that put the wires back up and fix the traffic light. Why does Washington have to be there to do those things?

Companies go in and out of bankrupcty all the time. In fact under President Obama they go into bankrupcty, a whole lot. The green dissolved energy firms, right?
Ford is doing very well with out a bailout. It was in the same financial situation as GM and Crytsler in 2009. Ford executive had the ethics not to steal their ownership group blind while taking billions in Federal funding.
It is called personal responsibility. It was what Obama and the liberal DEM lack. You had one man at GM....that had personal responsibility....the buck was falling on his desk...CEO Wagner. Obama fired him. He was not toeing the Obama line....he was not selling out his ownership group. he also would put the Volt on the road at $26,000 each with out $49,000 Government investment into each.

Late night talk in American is 100% gotcha entertainment. I have always been a little troubled by the President, that we all would like to think is a 'deep thinker' and a 'intelligent man'....when he goes on a late night show to become the water cooler joke for the next day.
Is he a deep thinker? Really let us face it....Jay Leno and company are not solving the world's or the countries problems. That is not their job. Their job is humor, expose' and political satire. Get the juicy bit of gossip for tinsel town. Find a laugh line and skweer a political foe.
The croud loves it and late night TV addicts dig it. But we ain't solving the national debt or feeding the 3rd world with late night talk shows. Aren't their bigger issues in the world than what gets discussed in late night?

Obama placed GM and Crystler into bankrupty....in that the owners....were skinned alive to pay the billions that the two companies owed. That freed up the stock which the companies could use as collator for the TARPII bailout funds.

Obama's auto bailout cost investing parties billions in lost investments, in GM and Crystler. Many of those investing were seniors and elderly.
People lost fortunes when the blue chip stock like GM was sent into bankrupcty. And it was not Mitt Romney that did it. It was Barack Obama that did it.
The Buckeyes I know are pretty sensible people. They made the mistake of going for Obama in 2008. So they have to be guilt ridden with the decision. It is not like them to make the same mistake in 4 year.
Just look at the house map posted. Ohio except for Cleveland is all red. Why support a REP legislator and not a REP president with a grid locked Washington?? It does not make any sense.
We want to have the same position in the Senate and House that President Obama in 2009. Then we can get things going to good recovery path taking us away from the fiscal cliff mentioned earlier.
Like I say....Ohioans are pretty logical.
At lunch today. I heard table talk between two men. One in his late 30s and and one in his mid 50s. The 30 yo was trying to defend Obama. Obama this and Obama that. The 50 yo man just smiled at him. Let him go on and on and on......he was going on when I sat down and he was goin on wen I left a hour later.
People are tired of defending him.....his supporters are fewer than ever. And others are not listening now that we are close to the election.....and votes are being cast.
Yesterday was the first day voting here in Florida. All I could think was this 50 yo man had cast his ballot already......the argument and debate for was over with for him......hence the quiet smile.
It is time to take a look at the fiscal cliff that President Obama has driven us too. Don't stand to close, the ledge is loose and slippery. And it is a long ways down.....

High prices on all commodities. Likely most of the school and colleges in the country will close. Cost of tuition will be to high.

Thinking about the America dream of owning a home and maybe a small business? Dream on. No capitol in society for either. Lenders will not exist. Banking is gone. Barter Baby Barter. We will be dropped back to the 1800s. That iPod you are using....don't worry about it...no juice to run it.
You might get one very used car in your lifetime. But more likely you will be riding horses. Not sure you could afford the gas anyways. If there is gas. When a loaf bread goes for $!000 as hyper inflation kicks in.
