RE: emotionally unavailable

I think you missed the subject of this thread!!!!!!

RE: Question = Answer, or?

It all depends on what the person has written and the attitude it has been written with.
Some messages don't warrant an answer................ Especially those who just say "hi', or "want to chat?" or, how are you?"

If you want a reply, actually show you have bothered to read the profile. Tell the person something about yourself, which isn't in your profile, and why you think you'll get on.

I NEVER reply to one sentence messages. I NEVER reply to messages without photo's (as it states in my profile).

If people come accross as ignorant, then they deserve to be ignored!

RE: Plz give me tips for seeking a dating woman.

I find someone calling me 'Dear' as being condiscending. For me, dear gives the impression of the elderly. So if anyone calls me dear, I imediately delete the message without even reading it. Scammers also, use the word dear a lot.

RE: R U afraid of dying?

Hi jac379
He's 29.

RE: R U afraid of dying?

I'm still not sure of how I feel about dying, since I'm presently staring death in the face. I have cancer. Recently I have been thinking about getting my afairs in order, just in case the worst does happen. My son and I are presently looking at burial sites, so that I can ensure everything is arranged and paid for before I go. I know that he will find things difficult anyway, without the added pressure of having to arrange my funeral etc.

I'm hoping that doing things this way, will help to prepare him, if the worst does happen.

RE: if you were magically given one wish, which would you wish for?

I'd wish that i hadn't got cancer and could see my new grandson grow upheart beating

RE: What's the worst experience in your life?

Losing my husband just a week after our we were married in 2004

RE: Top 12 cancer causing products in the average home

I've been using Nice and Easy for years.......Maybe that's what has caused my cancer. But somehow, I doubt if I'd be able to bring a lawsuit against them. It would be interesting to know just what cancers can be caused by these products, for all of us suffering from the disease.

RE: What would you like for dinner tonight?

Anything you'de like to cook for me xx

RE: Connecting Singles Anonymous

RE: Protection for Paul the Octopus?

The fate of pour Paul?!! HE'S DEAD!

RE: For those of you that live where you have to pay a license fee if you own a T.V.

P2p is illegal in the UK although it does go on for music, films, software etc, but people have benn prosecuted for it. Also, some broadband service providers in the UK, block p2p sites or slow down the broadband speed considerably, so that the time it takes to download these, outweighs getting them.

RE: For those of you that live where you have to pay a license fee if you own a T.V.

We have several BBC channels now which don't have commercials, but also we can get dozens of other channels via freeview, which we don't pay for. The only time people pay subscriptions for channels are when they want programmes outside what is available on freeeview.

Also, although I don't particularly agree with the licence fee, it does go towards paying all those people who work in the industry, for the BBC. For example those involved in making the programmes, the actors, actrsses, presenters, and all the technical and behind the scenes people. Without those people, there would be no programmes. It also goes to get up to date news from around the world,at a moments notice, without having to wait several days to find out what is going on in the world.

RE: For those of you that live where you have to pay a license fee if you own a T.V.

Wrong £145.00 just had my bill

RE: For those of you that live where you have to pay a license fee if you own a T.V.

I totally understand what you're saying. I spent 3 months in Alaska and watching tv was awful. It seemed that for every 5 minutes of tv, there would be 10 minutes of adverts. At least in the uk, on our commercial tv we only get one commercial break in half an hour, or 4 in an hour. These are usually no more than 3 minutes long, which is nowhere near to what you suffer in america.

RE: For those of you that live where you have to pay a license fee if you own a T.V.

OOps, sorry this was meant to be to sharkmeat.... Also, it;s the same cost no matter how many tv's are in the house

RE: For those of you that live where you have to pay a license fee if you own a T.V.

Hi Cherrybrandy,

The cost in the UK is £145.00 a year and this has been frozen recently for a few years. But it pretty much costs me the same to watch TV as it does to tax my car.

RE: I still haven't figured out the capital of Europe?

That's a strange statement...... Europe is a collection of countires, Each with their own capital city. And for the person who said that New York is the capital city of the western world, which school did they go to?

RE: Can The Way Some One Acts In The Forums Cause You To Put Them On Your UNDATEABLE LIST!

RE: Why are you single?

I'm a widow and for some reason guys are terrified of dating a widow, but seem comfortable with one night stands and dating serial divorcees..............

Perhaps some of you guys can enlighten me on this?!!

RE: guys I tend to avoid when dating..

In total agreement. Problem is..... all the other guys are taken!!

RE: HAS ANY ONE EVER SEEN A GOST..?

Yes. Since I was a teenager, I've seen ghostly apparitions. I've also had times when I've been terrified of entering a property, although I'd never been there before. I couldn't understand why I was so afraid, but found out from literature, many months later that the property was haunted.

RE: i am 42 years old and never had any children of my own do you think i should still hope to or give i

You're lucky that men can become fathers at any age, so unsure as to why you're worried. If you were female it would be a different matter.

RE: Easiest Countries to get Laid in?

Well, I can tell you you're wrong there. After having spent several periods of time in the state of Alaska, I can honestly say that women would not be interested in the men. Yes, they might outnumber women, but when they go around looking as if they haven't had a bath in months, and smelling the same.........

I can honestly say that I've never seen a guy dressed up in a bar. Even the millionairres look like they have just crawled out of the gutter. Perhaps thats due to the culture of drink, drugs, hunting and camping.

But as I've only been there in the winter months...... maybe I'll have to try summer and see if it's any different. But somehow I doubt it.

RE: Do You Believe in UFO's?

Yes, I believe there is life beyond earth. I've had 3 personal experiences. Until the first, I had no thoughts or interest in the subject.

I have also, had conversations with a pilot some years ago, who was captain on a flight from the US, when there was an extraordinary encounter, which was witnessed by the passengers and crew. The whole flight was held and questioned upon landing. Each of the people involved were made to sign documents to say they would never discuss the incident with the press.

RE: what is your claim to fame

My claim to fame is having worked on several productions as a film extra, and getting to meet many actors andd actresses. Also, being married to a successful film and TV cameraman, who worked on many famous films and tv productions.

I'm lucky to have many albums of behind the scenes photographs of famous people, including Jeremy Brett from Sherlock Holmes fame, who is sadly no longer with us.

RE: i hate girls....love is blind...just only bla bla...

Here we go again...........
Did you realise that the first sign of madness is talking to yourself???? I'd watch out for the men in white coats..........cos......they're comming to get you!!!
