I think this quote from the net explains it best...........
"It does not have an official capital, neither does the European Union. Political centres of the European Union are Luxembourg (court of Justice), Strasbourg (Parliament), Brussels (council of ministers), Frankfurt (European Central Bank) and the Hague (intelligence agency and various international courts).
If there's ever going to be a European capital, there's a big chance it's going to be Brussels. "

Well, more from a cultural perspective. Pretty sure Brussels is not at the top of everybody's top travel list lol. I've been there
Most of the Europeans I have talked to, all want to go to New York city for the most part, but when it comes to a top destination in Europe, it's hard to say since I get so many answers. Maybe the Canary Islands?
i dont think there is any real capital of europe. it has so many ccountries in it now. if anywhere though it would be somewhere in the main block of countries.
StressFree: So, New York is the capital of the Western world, and Los Angeles is the capital of the west coast and the backside of the Western world.
After living in Europe, I still can't get a handle on the capital of Europe? London maybe? I have no idea. Things are different here in Europe...
I know, odd thread, BUT I NEED ANSWERS!!!!
depends, capital of what? I mean if its romance, its Paris or Venice, for history Rome or Athens, for fashion and culture its London, Paris or Milan, for the rich and famous Monte Carlo, Nice, St. Tropez...
But if its political, surely not London - England was never comfortable in the EU and the British too proud to feel 'european'. If there's a political capital it has to be Brussels.
