What about the people who pray, but they still die. It is called chance. People tend to self diagnose their cures with no evidence of a higher power intervening in the healing.
Its a beautiful thing to believe in angels, as angels are a caring loving guiding light, sometimes, when one cannot see that road ahead, we look inside and wonder why, then that is when, my angels appear, to give me the strength and understanding to keep me sane, maybe we are all angels inside.
I lost a very dear friend last year, he took his own life. When i went to his funeral, and we were asked to speak, I saw the hesitation in many that gathered, but my angel guided me to the front of the congregation, I spoke of all the beautiful wonderful times we had and many other beautiful things he gave to this world and people. I walked away satisfied that I had spread my wings to all, who would now know him better. (Even after he slipped away from all)

5,000 years ago the Sumerians thought that they had winged being protecting and watching over them, but where is that civilization now. I think that people call their own conscious angels, because sometimes the mind can contradict itself. For instance you want to turn right, but your conscious tells you to turn left and you do, avoiding a fatal car accident. Did God or angels intervene, or does our own minds have powers not yet proven?
