Here in Taiwan, people seem to have an eclectic approach to religion encompassing Buddhism and Taoism and special folk customs. There is a ghost month that is usually around August (exact time is based on the lunar calendar). This is a time where people give offerings to ghosts that perhaps have no family to worship them. In the middle of the month, you will see people putting out tables in front of their houses that are filled with all kinds of food. They also burn what is know as "ghost money." These offerings are meant to ensure that the ghosts remain happy. It's really interesting.
mmmmm....coffee...I love coffee. The stronger, the better. I'm trying to cut down, and now I only drink it in the morning. I switch over to green tea in the afternoon.
I have had a lot of these kinds of messages lately in Facebook, luckily they were from people that weren't listed as friends of mine and I just deleted them. Thanks for the warning!
I think in 10 years from now, I'll be strictly wearing hats or waiting for hair technology to speed up with some cutting edge solutions...and hopefully something under 8 thousand dollars./quote]
It was in Canada, and yes I think he was, in his own way, complimenting me. But the combination of the pick up line, and him being pissed out of his tree just didn't do it for me. Call me crazy....
Pick up lines...had this guy come up to me in a bar and say "my, you have a beautiful smile of ivory, if you were a rhino or an elephant, you'd be shot"
