The Philippines, The Vatican City and Malta do not allow divorce. I hope that next month everything will remain the same and Malta will NOT allow divorce.
You do not need to take any offense because your marriage was annulled by the church. Therefore that was Different from divorce since annullment means that the marriage NEVER existed.
Secondly how come you were divorced by the state when we do not have divorce in Malta?
Thirdly it is not true that annulment is only for the rich. That's a lie propogated by the YES Movement.
Even if you want to separate here in Malta you need loads of Money to do that. Most couples end up poor to pay the court bills.
In the case of Malta, how can you afford divorce after separation you end up spending loads of money in court and in lawyers?
With the wages here in Malta how are you going to afford paying your first family and maintaining a second family. Will your salary double after you take divorce?
Don't you see that the Yes Movement is talking rubbish and that RESPONSIBLE DIVORCE does not exist and that nothing is guaranteed.
I am sorry to disagree because you do not need divorce to live apart after a failed marriage. Separation is legal in Malta. So people who live in a failed marriage can easily separate and live apart.
Let me ask some difficult questions?
If a husband beats up his wife, and she applies for divorce, will he not be able to remarry and destroys someone's else life?
What about the children? Will they have different fathers/mothers?
I think that if divorce is introduced than it is not worth it getting married because the promise you give to your partner will not remain valid. When a couple says that We will love each other till death do us apart will be changed to We will love each other till one of us gets fed up and decides to apply for divorce. There will be no commitment

I have loved opera since I was a child. I studied the Violin when I was young. I have a CD collection of Verdi's operas plus others from Mozart and Puccini. I have seen some live in the Manuel Theatre in Malta and in Astra Theatre in Gozo.
I have seen live, La Traviata, Aida, Nabucco, Tosca, La Cavalleria Rusticana and Palgiacci and La Boheme just to name a view.
In my opinion the best operas were written by Verdi and the next best is Puccini. When one comes for the bel canto type I would prefer Bellini and Donizetti.
In Europe we have a democracy .............. It will never happen here. If we are fed up with a government, there is always an election every 5 years or so in which we can make our voice heard.
Here in Europe we have freedom of expression and free elections. If the Arabs and Moslems who live here don't like it, they are free to leave.
There is nothing good about hunting. In my opinion it's just a waste of time and energy.

Here in Malta they are ready to vote against the government because the EU forbids Spring Hunting.
If it was for them, we would not have become members of the European Union.

Some of these profiles are a bunch of lies. A few months ago, I met someone from here who in her profile she said that she is a dentist. When I went out with her, she said that she was an eye specialist. After a week, I found out that she NEVER WENT TO UNIVERSITY and that she worked as a salesgirl with an Optician.

The church has the right to speak out. If you don't like it go and live abroad.I am not ready to distroy the stability of marriage for a few who are irrisponsible and do not believe in commitment.
