Did you catch Obama's 1/2 hour special? It is on YouTube.
When Obama said he is worried about "the single mother without health insurance" that was me.
When he expressed his concerns about the elderly and sick, he was talking to my mother.
When he spoke with people about the factories shutting down, the people losing their jobs and the local small businesses shutting down, he was talking about my city.
Ok I will be so glad to let you know how I think it turned out. I probably already saw all of the Simpsons and could tell you how the one you plan to watch turned out too!
Maybe you can start a Simpsons thread and we can all tell what our favorite shows were.
First, it's too bad you are so dissatisfied with both candidates.
The 1/2 hour will be about what he plans to do as President, it's great that he is going to give us INFORMATION! Whatever the info is, it is a good thing to know what the next guy is planning to do.
If it does not answer the questions you wonder about, you could find the answers on barackobama.com
Obama will be on Rachael Maddow tomorrow evening at 9 on msnbc.
Q: You said recently, "I have no intention of taking away folks' guns." But you support the D.C. handgun ban, and you've said that it's constitutional. How do you reconcile those two positions?
Obama:
A: Because I think we have two conflicting traditions in this country. I think it's important for us to recognize that we've got a tradition of handgun ownership and gun ownership generally. And a lot of law-abiding citizens use it for hunting, for sportsmanship, and for protecting their families. We also have a violence on the streets that is the result of illegal handgun usage. And so I think there is nothing wrong with a community saying we are going to take those illegal handguns off the streets. And cracking down on the various loopholes that exist in terms of background checks for children, the mentally ill. We can have reasonable, thoughtful gun control measure that I think respect the Second Amendment and people's traditions.
I agree and being required to "Shop around the country" for anything, especially health care sucks! How do you shop around? Internet? TV ads? Mail Order?
How about the elderly who do not use the internet, like McCain for example?
Some patients will always require extra medical attention. I guess in a McCain world, only the strong and rich will survive. The rest of us will have to struggle fro everything.
RE: Obama for President.........Decency became a Tsunami!
Obama the past day on the campaign trail with:Bill Clinton, Al Gore
McCain the past day on the campaign trail with:
