Where i live at moment is a small community in a bay and for me to catch the train, i need to get the bus down the road.
Well couple of weeks ago when boarding the bus, driver asked me if i knew if old lady that lived by bus stop was ok and i said i didn't know as hadnt been in area long and he was a little concerned as apparently she was old and very sick but used to get the bus once a week
Well today i went to get the bus and it was peeing down with rain and i turned around and a little elderly lady was leaning up against the tree waiting for the bus with no umberella so i staight went over to her and put my brella over her to keep her dry .
Noticed straight away she wasnt breathing very well but still managaged to have a conversation with me between breaths and she told me she gets bus to go and have lunch with her friends and that she had lived in the same house here for the 54 year
At a guess I would say she must of been approx 85yrs and also she had a big bandage around her leg.
Now i didnt know this lady but remembered what bus driver said and I was actually quite concerned and worried about her - no bullocks, I thought she was ready to kark it and i was freaking out a bit as I dont even know the emergency no here in oz
Couple of minutes passed and a car pulls up driveway beside us and it's her nurse who apparentlyl has come to change her bandage on leg and while she is talking to the nurse i am still holding the umberella over her to keep her dry.
Well nurse asks her what is she doing outside going out and was i her daughter. I told her no I just noticed her outside and couldnt leave her so standing there so was helping her.
Nurse said she shouldnt be going anywhere as has carings and people that pick her up few times a week but not a thursdy and this elderly lady was very very determined and nurse coldnt do anything but told her to go inside and get her oxygen and take it as this elderly woman is set in her ways and would cause mayhem if she didnt get her way
So elderly ask me to make bus wait when it comes and leaves her hangbag and goes & gets her oxygen
Well you guess it, the bus comes and I am asking bus driver to wait and he did and she back out with her oxygen & mask and determined lady alright gets on the bus
I helped here and thinking, I really hope she is ok as this just isnt right but what can i do but help her
She is on the bus and drops her stuff so i pick it up for her and think, oh no please be ok and bus goes and she actually gets off bus before me and another lady helped her .
This lady amazed me that as sick as she was, she will use her last bit of what is left of her to go and have her lunch with her friends but i only wish she had someone that would take her by car if that was the case, maybe they dont she does this weekly
but you have to give it to her for trying and i hope she is ok but i really dont think she has long so is just making the most of time.
What would you have done? I really didnt know what to do as who am i to say she couldnt or shouldnt get the bus in her state to go lunch with her friends
Not all settlements are messy and everything sold - I had to buy my ex out to keep the house and he came alot better off than me as property prices dropped badly in NZ and so I lost alot of money where's he did alright
and as for legal fees, if you do split clean, keeps cost down, especially when ya use same lawyer and are in agreement about everything
Rent in Sydney can be expensive in parts but where i am we have a big 3 bed house in a bay for $550.00 which is really good but is a little way out so we have just got another place for around the same price but a big apartment thats really nice and closer to city so i can get out more and travel more easier to city
Dead right Shell and more than likely it is just a short term separation to sort things out with their wives and probably will go back when after they have stepped over the fence and tried the puddings as they are entitled to do that if they in the separated stage
ps. before the males jump down me throat, the same could be said about the woman to but in my case, it was the male
