Going back is not possibly unfortunately. Many people now a days don't have a garage or a shed full of DIY tools or a cupboard full of baking tins. It is so cheap now to discard and replace broken household items which are now mass produced for us. And not many have the time for home cooking/baking. Kids these days spend most of their bonding time with their parents from the back seats of cars and in shopping malls but are needed to help carry the shopping bags home.
Yes, I'm sure these are very large contributing factors but I do recall in the 80's the introduction of the PC, feminist oriented doctrine in our western society. But understandable considering 2 wages were now required to maintain an average standard of living. With both parents out working it's only fair to share the domestic chores, child care etc. Perhaps the alpha male started to look more of a hinderance than a help for the family orientated career women.
My dear Miss Ouri .... Thank goodness for good people, but IMO a government shouldn't have to rely on them, know what I mean. our money should be spent on our welfare not on their wars.
It's a form of delusion in my opinion, but if it does only good then it's ok with me. But unfortunately there will always be that element of badness within humanity and will infiltrate all sorts of groups.
I watched a TV documentary the other night about China and the rapid growth of religion now that the communists allow it. Christianity is incredibly popular, they say that within 15 years China could become the world's most Christian nation.
This clearly demonstrates that there are many people that require a belief in something beyond reality, a blind faith of something good existing in some divine spiritual realm / dimension.
Fair enough, each to his/her own but I personally just don't get it. My voids are my problems to fix thanks very much.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see how future religious influence plays out on China's already weakening government regarding issues such as human rights, pollution, military escalation etc.
Yes, a bit of an anticlimax at the end but the USA did make a brave and slightly threatening start to the last day but it didn't last long.
I am curious to the opinions of any American golf lovers out there about Phil Mickelson's critical verbal attack on their capt. Tom Watson at the press conference afterwards.
Yes, Scotland has just lost a wonderful opportunity to break free from a biased, draconian, self serving, elitist political establishment. Lost the opportunity to create a fairer and more just society, lost the opportunity to elect a government of it's own choosing and lost the opportunity to get rid of nuclear weapons.
Congratulations to the BBC upon their referendum victory.
..... It's a sad day for 45% of us. I thought it would be a closer call as the polls were predicting but it is not all bad news, the pro independence vote is up 10% from the last attempt, more powers have been promised to Scotland but most importantly the establishment has been rattled. Devolution is now on the agenda for other parts of the UK resulting in the weakening of the current centralised Westminster control. The leaders can't go back on that pledge now, surely ! Come on England etc, don't piss this chance away... please.
RE: Is there any woman left in the west who likes Alfa male?
But is that a desired change or brought about due to recent(ish) austerity ?
