RE: Money Gods

God is not a thing, but a word for a supreme being that a person relates to or seeks for guidance or direction.

Who is the 'god' all these currencies are referring too?
Do you have a 'god' in mind that you think it stands for?

If it smells like corruption, tastes like corruption, looks like corruption, then chances are it is corruption.

My vote is the 'in god we trust' on any coin or paper money, is not referring to Almighty Yahweh.

RE: Hi. Answer This Question

I agree!thumbs up

RE: Catholism, Mary and 'False Gods'..

I am not Catholic, never have been. I can not describe if you are missing any history from a Catholic point of view.

I can share a non-catholic point of view to your comment;
Mary is revered as a 'goddess', her title given by some Catholics long time ago is "Queen of Heaven".
This title is the same title given to the Egyptian pagan goddess Isis, the Egyptians (from what I have read since I am not that old to have lived it) worshiped and prayed to Isis and had statues of her. It is the same type of statues the Catholic organization gave to Mary, it is exactly the same, just a different name.
There are actually a few different religions that have a 'queen of heaven' and the catholic organization has incorporated each one into their ways, religion, statues, but the main one is Isis.
Wiccans can verify this since it is one of the main goddess they worship.
Even some Catholics call Mary a goddess.

As far as idols or statues, the 10 commandments speaks against this, and that is the question why Catholicism and lately lots of so called Christian churches are doing the same, even Islam is having statues of this "Mother Mary"

Most catholic people does what the Pope does, and when he stands in front of a statue of Mary to kiss it or pray to it, that is considered worshiping a statue, no matter how anyone describes it.
If 1 (one) man can lead a mass of people to do false worship, what does that say about that 1(one) man?

RE: Does the Atheist have a soul?

My sentiments exactly, everyone has a soul, including one who is in the womb. A person is conceived with a soul no matter what that person chooses once they become advanced in knowledge during maturing.
I always find Wikipedia to be a little more informative, here is a link to their definitions of Soul,
If you look you shall find there is no limit to religion, even Science (to which I think is a big atheistic and evolution program) have some believe in Soul, even though it may be a more scientific way of seeing it.
