It's been around average temperatures here this fall, today is about 20 degrees colder then average, but warming back up starting tomorrow, the storms travel from west to east in the US, usually... it doesn't snow where I live like it did 20-30 years ago, I guess it's changing everywhere, right? ... I bet you get the heavy snow, because of your humidity... ... That's not funny is it, the heavy wet snow is back breaking, and hard to shovel... 
... when it's cold here, the snow is dry and powdery ... I'm glad you don't mind the cold weather and a bit of snow, well, maybe you will have a white Christmas, my chances here are maybe 50/50 of snow before Christmas, I hope so, I like snow on Christmas Eve...

... around December and January, I usually get a cold spell, when the night time temperatures can go as low as ... -30C ... ... that's cold, crunchy outside walking cold... ... extra blankets, turn the furnace down 1 or 2 degrees and dress warm...

... And, they remodeled the cashier stands... the clerk used to take your items out of the cart and scan them... Now, the customer has to unload the cart and put the items on the belt, I told the clerk, brilliant business plan, make the customer do more work, and charge him more for it! ... brilliant, I should work in marketing! ... ... Anyway... everything that's changing for me, is ending up making everything harder (for me) I don't have a smart phone, as I'm way too dumb to use one... ... My future doesn't look very bright... ... ... before technology entered the world...
