it depends on how you approach the problem. yes there are less people available due to the fact that normally the good ones are taken. if they do come back on to the market, for whatever reason, normally theres baggage or they are dealing with issues due to a loss, either death or separation. then we have the problem in general that men, given a choice want a younger partner. there is also the fact that as we grow older mostly we become less attractive due to aging or weight gain. also as we get older the experience of life leaves a lot of people disillusioned with its many issues, the main one being able to trust and fear. if we are lucky enough through all the adversities of life we become a little wiser, we tend to know what we want and tend not to compromise. having said all this, years ago to find a partner we had to continually go out, which was a hit and miss affair, now we have the internet. although not perfect, the chances are greatly increased.
