RE: North Korea

Only the twisted person in charge and the "yes" men around him know what he's thinking and then the only one who thinks he knows what he is doing doesn't know...
as it's been said peace was never declared and the world can only wait until he dies to see what N. Korea will have for a government next.
so many thoughts of what could be done would only bring on the thoughts of how another country was meddled with...

RE: R.I.P David Carradine....

72 yrs. old, that is a long time to experience what life has given you. I'm sorry to hear about him doing it as it seems like a tragic waste of a life. There is a joke to be made of it and some will think that's disrespect maybe, but it is not as I did respect and enjoy his work.
Somebody closer to him then me may have a reason for why he did it. I've no answers for why he did it other then it had to be a really horrible script!

RE: How does your life change when you quit smoking?

give it 4 weeks and you'll see a change if you can stay away from all your "friends" who smoke...you need people around you who support you in this...your just going to feel better overall.
So make a journal of how you feel. Not athletic performance related to exercise, but you begin to feel different. Since your whole body chemistry will change anybody who kisses you will see a difference!
So if you have a woman in your life that can give you rating on how you taste now and how you'll taste a week from now and every week would be interesting thumbs up

RE: Would you have this guy over for dinner?

no matter who's side of the story it is, you have "Been there-Done that" and it was a negative experience for you.

Why would you want to repeat a mistake like this guy?
Forget the idea of having him over just to show him that your over him and you've moved on in life or any silly thoughts of rubbing it in his face - your better then that.
He was nothing more then "practice" for you to go through the experience and improve your life by doing so. It sounds like your in better shape now so don't step backwards and trip yourself up.
Keep going forward.

Before and after marriage.

John- NO! Don't even think about it.

Jane- Do you love me?

John- Of course! Always have and always will!

Jane- Have you ever cheated on me?

John- NO! Why you even asking?

Jane- Will you kiss me?

John- Every chance I get!

Jane- Will you hit me?

John- Hell no! Are you crazy?!

Jane- Can I trust you?

John- Yes

Jane- Darling!

AFTER MARIAGE read from the bottom back to the top!

RE: Old men chasing young women:a good thing

If somebody is really single and unattached I don't think there is much wrong with dating someone who is mentally mature enough to accept the situation for what it is - two people enjoying each others company. Even if there is a big span or years between them - if they get along together that's great! That is what we are supposed to do, get out and enjoy life! More often then not it is the social stigma created by other people who are in a bad place in their life because of their own relationship failures that voice negative opinions.
For the most part though, that advice given to me by the "old guy" has shown itself to be good advice.

RE: Old men chasing young women:a good thing

your most welcome...wine

RE: Old men chasing young women:a good thing

...and the "" scientist that has come up with this theory has a girlfriend how old??? roll eyes

I was told by someone much older then me when I was in my teens that you are safe dating 10 yrs. up and down of your age, most times when you go too far from that range there are just too many lifestyle differences to make it last for long. That always seemed like good advice!

RE: Old men chasing young women:a good thing

I guess the sun out there has made most guys blind if you have to do the chasing! wow

RE: A question for Americans.

Hi All,
I made it one of my goals to live in all 4 corners of the country.
Take a look at the country in Google maps using the satellite view and check out the images from a low altitude. The imagery of the land is amazing!
The thing that I found to be disappearing throughout the states was the loss of cultural individuality from area to area...all the stores are the same and food products are the mostly the same. The great flavors in local food have been lost through the use of processed ingredients. People are great the world over...
I'd have to choose a state west of the Mississippi River. The eastern side is too humid for me and far too many people in the northern parts.
If you have only been to four states that's not bad. It is more then a lot of people. However, you need to get in a car and do some driving and see the country if you can get the time to do it.
Listening to everyone here is good, all have there view points...but you are the one going to be living under your roof, you need to experience for yourself to see where you feel at home.

I want to retire in Italy if I can or the Pacific Northwest.
