you are right sometimes life breeds get health issues and don't perform well , a good cross breed is also good .
We have one world famous Pakistan breed called "Pakistani Bully " . Strong big size dog very loyal and brave , decades back it was used for home defence , Leopard and Wolf hunts also
Nice , I think the breed matters , a good breed have unique properties and performance , like gsd , Rottweiler , Belgian are really inspiring , we can't compare a pure German shepherd with a street dog sheltered in the shelter house .
