I believe in marriage and yes I would remarry again . I got married in my early 20's and lasted 24 years . I figured at that age I was still like a kid and didn't know anything . Knowing what I've learned from that and other relationships , I can make a marriage last forever , with the right woman . My one Lady friend , I can picture being that woman for a very good reason .When she lays beside me and the special way she holds me and looks at me , I already feel like I am beside my future bride . She just needs to wake up to those feelings herself . Once you both can share those feelings , you just make sure you keep the flame glowing brightly and live for that person . Love is great and it's worth waiting for . I've had heart breaker relationships too , but I don't give up on what I believe in .

I could basically write a book about online dating ...lol ! Sometimes a long distance relationship can result in what I call culture shock . Its just too drastic of a change . Been there , done that and the book will one day be written . ! People can be who ever they want here online , but will they meet your expectations when you first lay eyes upon them ? But most importantly will that special feeling still remain after years gone by ? You can be like me and wear your heart on your sleeve and eventually learn to cover it up a bit .The wounds take quite some time to heal . Like the rest of anything in our lives it becomes an experience , hopefully a better one than worse. Good luck in your search everyone . All I can say is date safely !...Pete

I don't have a problem with a woman having kids. They would be a part of her and I'd consider this to be a package deal . Not baggage of any kind.

I have who I want finally . It only took me about 22 years to realize she was around me all the time . She tells me now that she liked me years ago , but since we were both married at the time , she wouldn't have gone there . That's the type of woman I want in my life and now I have her . So remember things do happen for a reason. If it was meant to be, it will happen .

Found my soul mate

I would like to share my experience with you all . Just to let people know there is hope in finding that special someone . All I can say is look in front of you ! I have been a stock car racing fan for almost 29 years now . I attended weekly and as many have followed a certain Canadian driver all these years . I was married for 24 of those years and had my house and 2 kids , the whole bit . But I somehow over the years realized we had grown apart . So as my favorite driver had separated from his wife and moved on , she and I had always talked as friends throughout the years . But one day as we both became single , we talked about what we had gone through and were there for each other . We couldn't even think of being more than friends at this point . She had known my wife and a girlfriend I had previously . So it became very awkward . Then one day we held each other close and I somehow immediately felt this was the Lady I was meant to have in my life . I have never seen such a close couple in my life. This relationship has become the most beautiful thing in both of our lives . We mention of how we both were married at a young age , when we were basically kids that didn't really know what love actually was .Now at 50 years old I know what I want and what I would like as a life long partner . I said in my profile that Love Is Everything to me and it is . We treat each day like a continuation of a life long honeymoon . Make sure each of us knows how we feel , sometimes with just a smile . I have dated a few women from the internet over the past 5 years , where one relationship lasted 4 years . So you just never know , but all I can say is never give up . True love is worth the wait . It will take your breath away .

If you type it in your web browser it will tell you all about the desease . But basically she was born without a gene that helps her body grow . She spends each day on life support and we wait for the day her tiny heart stops one final time . My Daughter saved her life by giving her CPR for 20 minutes and then she was stabilized and brought by air ambulance to the hospital . I don't like to talk about this too much as it breaks our hearts .

This didn't come from just anywhere . I have a Lady that writes to me the most beautiful things I'd ever imagine two humans writing one another . But I do have to face this reality and my kids all need me . One of my 4 granddaughters is on her death bed at 6 months old . She lays in the Sick Kids Hospital inn Toronto witha desease called SMA type 1 , there is no cure . So now than ever my Daughter needs me at her side and I could never let her down . She has been the strongest woman I have ever known and also like my best friend .I could never turn my back and walk away . Unlike others I have had a blessed life to have loved at least 3 times in my life , so I've had a lifetime of love at my age and hold it all very dear to my heart. It's all been an experience that I wouldn't want to change .

So you find the one that you want to be with forever , they live across the pond so to speak . They have left behind their kids from a previous relationship . One day they realize just how much they miss them . Most kids with families of their own would never up and move . You find your partner's heart is broken from missing them . What do you do ? This is a reality check to some of us . I've done it and returned home 6 months later from another country for my 2 kids and now 4 very sweet granddaughters . I can't see me ever leaving them for good as it would break their hearts and mine . Let's hear what you all would do in all seriousness ?

But then 3 weeks goes by and I end up meeting a Lady that writes to me like nobody ever has . I checked it out and she's a 26 hour flight away . Was I saying I wouldn't do the long distance thing again ? ...lol

Get a satellite link for your laptop ...: ) ! Hit the main power breaker for your house . Purposely forget your log on name and password . I admit it I'm hooked myself . The first indication was when I woke up yesterday at 4:30am waiting for a Lady across the pond to IM me back Friday morning . She's wrote me some amazing letters telling me about herself and somehow I can't wait to see what she says next . I'm going to have to join CSA = Connecting Singles Anonymous , then I may be cured ....but I doubt it . I do have fun just sending messages to a few members and those little messages put a smile on your face at some point in the day . That makes it all worthwhile . You see I don't need drugs , I have this addiction .

Yes there is a guy out there who wouldn't lie or cheat on you . But it goes both ways ! I treat women like queens and everyone around me knows this . I have always been loyal , loving and faithfull and somehow I am single . Doesn't make sense to me at all . Friends tell me I'm too nice and easy going , but I can't and wouldn't ever change me for anyone . So for those that do cheat , which I know of many , I always say what goes around comes around . I don't do to others what I would never want to experience . Some of us do remain good , breaking hearts doesn't do anything for me .

There has to be some sort of attraction , not always physical . Could be in they're essay that says this is exactly what I'm searching for . We don't hold our looks forever , but its nice to be able to open your eyes each day and smile , when you look at the one that holds your heart .

I find people taking advantage of a good hearted person . I'd do anything for the women who makes a commitment to not just me but us . I've seen where they've been in relationships where nobody would acknowledge them or do a thing for them . So I come along and its like they are overwelmed. I ask if they're ready for this type of life and I hear yes . But most times you can see a change taking place. I love each day like tomorrow will never come , I just have to find the right Lady ready .

My ex after being apart for 5 years told me she quit searching for someone because she can't find a replacement for me . I was at the point of stopping to search because many people pretend to like or be something they're not . The only reason she ever became my ex was she didn't get a medication to help her cope with life . Violent actions took her over and I had enough . I saw her last night for the first time , she hugged me , shed tears , apologized and wouldn't let go of me . I told her that we need to remain friends . When you put your heart , body and soul into a relationship , you'd expect the same in return . So now I just sit quietly and figure people out and protect who I am as a person .

I think age is just a number . The right partner will keep you energized and feeling younger . My age will be 50 in a few weeks but I don't feel it what so ever . My hobbies keep me younger and so do all those damn good looking women I pass in my work van each day in the summer ....lol !
