I have noticed some comments when i have received mail regarding me being a single parent. So what do you do apart from child rearing ? How old were you when you had your daughter ? So do you work ? this puts me straight off someone. Can someone give me an insight of such negitivity towards single parents ?
A woman's kids will always and forever be the first priority in her life. And that includes school, homework, holidays, weekend activities, mealtimes and family budget. And that's quite right so. But some men will see that as a disadvantage. That's just the way it is.
I do get that sence of men viewing me in someway as being disadvantaged , which i find very frustrating , i work i support myself and my daughter, men seam to think you want someone to leach off which i find ridiculous
Personaly, I don't mind dating a woman with kids, as long as she doesn't want me to add to the brood! Also if the father is still around, that can be a bit difficult, not on my part I hasten to add, but he may think that I will take over his father role. Seen it before, and it can become messy!!

A women with children are much more mature and knows about a lot more, I think they are high points. And children are really the best gift from God. So women with children are ATTRACTIVE

Well I'm just guessing but I'd have to say... they want one of their own and the woman already has too many orrrr they just don't want the responsibility. They want the benefit but not the work.
Like you K i don't the idea of children being baggage, Like so many other parents my kids are my world, so precious and full of love, joy and humour... who wouldn't want something like that in their lives???

My last two long term partners had children. I didn't have a problem with it at all. Quite the opposite in fact, i love being a father. My last partner didn't like me having a child to another woman at all. She never fully accepted the situation and was quite jealous of my father-daughter bond. I fully accepted her son but it wasn't reciprocated. She made my daughter feel uneasy in her own home. Why i stuck it out for 7 years i'll never know. Won't happen again thats for sure.
Just goes to show that some women can be like that too

Exactly, if you have kids, they are simply part of you and your life, and there is no changing that.
No time for people calling or thinking they are baggage whatsoever. Makes them sound worthless when life is so special, and children are our future in everyway.
shameg: yea i have seen that happening , thats not nice
It wasn't easy to live with or deal with. Thats why i'll find someone who has the same opinion as you next time around. People like that are best forgotten
