RE: do you know the meaning of your name?

Mine will throw you all a curve:

First name means; World ruler

Last name-Worker or laborer

And for those who are curious - - - last name comes from Germany.

No matter how one may think it does sound confusing as heck to figure out on what I am doing here in the first place-sheeeeeesh.

RE: Does anyone cook anymore?

I like to cook also. To me food seemto taste better when its done "your" way. I also like to grill and smoke hams and turkeys when I had a smoker. Ooh all of this talk is making my mouth water- - -down home fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn-on-the-cob, and biscuits with a tall glass of sweet tea sure sounds good now-YUM!

RE: What is ur dream vaction?

Another option not given:

A secluded lake to sit, fish, and enjoy nature all around.

RE: What's keeping you single?

Mine also.

I selected "wrong place" thats mainly due to my present location===SHEESH!

The fact that I'm really not known on CS that well makes it difficult.

RE: bee sting.......need suggestion please

Yep!!!! Flex that hand and show your bling! cheering

To Sommer---thumbs up

RE: bee sting.......need suggestion please

Snuggs;

Just be sure you flex that hand as well so it will not become stiff.wink

RE: bee sting.......need suggestion please

Funny though; Dr. Pepper used this song in their advertising campaign back in the 80's

RE: bee sting.......need suggestion please

I have tried all but two of the suggestions. For me the baking soda paste or toothpaste works well. Ice will bring down the swelling. Meat tenderizer(unseasoned) and (this part you not like) tobacco juice will help remove the poison. Preventive measure: a bottle of STING EZE will help out more. You can purchase this product at Wal-Mart in the sporting goods department. I always try to keep a bottle on hand. Best of luck to you.

RE: You met the guy how do you keep the guy

I guess its time for the Scales to weigh in---haha!

Being yourself is a real good start. Add in common interests, goals, likes, and dislikes. For the most part don't try to change him or let him change you. Don't forget to have space from time to time this will drive the feeling of being "smothered" away.

Little Known Facts

Hello, I was just wandering how many of us here in Mississippi know about the cities and towns and counties we live in?

For instance, Mississippi means "Father of Waters."

This is a good way to learn about our state and about the people who call this state HOME. Come on! Share what you know!

RE: What is it that you miss about being in a relationship?

Thanks for the sympathy. Now I can go on and live life to the fullest.applause yay

RE: What is it that you miss about being in a relationship?

Everyone here really had good answers to this question.

For me it would the fact that there was someone out there who knew my heart like I knew hers. Now all of that is over and done with sigh

I feel so small.

RE: Do all men prefer younger women.

What about maturity? Does that not have a place? I admit that I dated a woman for some time who was older then me but at the same time she was very inmature. There are some young women who want older men to be their "sugar daddy." The opposite is true as well. Age is a number but at the same time its the "inner person" that counts the most.

RE: How long should it take to get over someone?

With me it took about 2 years. Mainly because of the length of time we have spent together. In the first year i did spend a small time grieving but then I picked myself up and got over her. All the little notes and trinkets she got for me were destroyed---tore them up and burned them to ash. Now I feel more alive and renewed. I am back out on the "dating field" and it feels good.

RE: PETA, yet again

Hey I like a good salmon toss. Also enjoy a piece of smoked turkey. But it ain't nothing compared to fried venison yay

Yeah, we in Mississippi have had problems with that group. Funny thing tho' whenever that bunch comes around there is always a few good ol' rednecks here who will fire up a grill or two maybe three and throw some catfish, steaks, chicken, or whatever other kind of meat on and listen to the sizzle. YUM!!!! cheering
