I realize it is kinda late, but I did ask my boss about your question, and he said it is totally false, and he'd never heard of such a behavior there. Just wanted to let ya know.

My boss if from South Africa...I'll have to ask him if this is true that "gentlemen pick up the tab"...on things like babysitting. Sounds kinda bizarre to me...but then, maybe that's how she got two homes!!

Bashing is usually a personal attack...on an idea, thought, life, looks, or even intelligence.

An opinion doesn't have to be restated over and over, and it isn't used to attack someone else's thoughts, beliefs, or origins...(and other similar things).

Another thing thay just occured to me is that some people could be that way because that is what they grew up hearing...and that is a shame.

I personally think that bashing is usually some opinionated ignoranus who needs to make someone else feel badly because they feel lousy about themselves...or their life...

Sometimes it is just a response to being bashed, though!

Social Security would be fixed in a heartbeat if they had to rely on it like most of us will probably have to do (even though they'd have plenty to live on without it). If they didn't, they'd be proving they don't care, and blowing their chances of being re-elected!!

I don't believe there is anything wrong with the Muslim faith. The extremists have gotten so much press coverage and been so..."motivated" that most ppl think that is what the faith is about. The Koran is not intended for hurting, it is intended for uniting.

And you make an excellent point in few words. No religion or race is without extremists and military terrorists. It just depends on what side of the fence you are sitting on.

There is also an email floating around (quoting a supposed "Swopes.com" or "Snope.com" that claims he belongs to an all black church that pledges undying support for Mother Africa". I always check Snopes when someone "appears" to have misspelled the name...and have only found 1 out of about 30 things to be confirmed by that site. Good site.

I'm not a Republican, but Bill did set things up so that the incoming Prez (almost a given to NOT be a Demorat after his little antic...which actually could have been set up by another party in you want to throw in a conspiracy idea) would face MANY financial problems due to some of his programs and signings. I can't give any specifics without re-researching it...just remember I was unhappy about his late-temr moves and the deficit to come. I was hoping he'd just fade away...
