Pretty sure the Rep don't have a chance in the final run... Dems are outvoting the Reps by 3 to 1. The war has pretty much decided it. And now Bush seems to be trying to get the war even more wide sperad before he leaves office.

Man... Congress needs to stop him!!!!!
I think you're right. At this moment it doesn't seem like any Republican has a chance in hell of winning the general election unless the die hard Hillary or Obama supporters fail to vote because their own candidate doesn't get nominated by the party. I think the chance of this happening is pretty slim. It's too bad too, I think JM would do pretty well in working with both parties. I'm not so sure about Clinton and Obama. I suppose we'll find out soon enough but I hope if it has to be one or the other I would rather see Obama.
There is a lot brewing throughout the world right now. I hope our actions don't make matters worse. And I really hope we're not here in 2 -3 years speaking of the future President in the same way we are speaking of the current one regardless of who it is.
The only way things will change in this country is to quit letting $$$$ be the deciding factor...but that will never happen. It takes too much money and connections with big money to even get on a ballot.
I think that there should be a fund that allows ppl an equal footing before elections. It would be a tough thing to pull off...but it would help. That, and term limits for the Senate and House. 2 terms. period. That would help to get rid of the old boys network, and things might actually get accomplished that HELP our country.

That is why I add this comment to most political threads.
In response to: So many things that the masses should be hounding their senators and congressmen about!
rasgumby: I honestly can't believe Bush and Chaney aren't up on charges for all of the lies and profit mongering!
Yet Bill Clinton got impeached for practically nothing.
So many things that the masses should be hounding their senators and congressmen about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Clinton is the reason I won't even consider voting for Mrs. Clinton. I honestly don't want him EVER setting foot inside the Whitehouse again. I don't like knowing some of my tax money goes towards all the agents GUARDING him every day.
Oh, yeah...he didn't inhale, either. He must have held his breath for about 30 minutes until all the smoke cleared the room.
rasgumby: Hillary went on National news yesterday and said that Barak is NOT muslim...!!!!!!
How can that be when so many people want so badly to believe that he is?
She was ask a few times if he was Muslim and she said NO every time.
Should be an interesting and long day, can go either way.
May the best Man win.
What do u see in Obama that makes him a potentially good leader.. what are his objectives for your country... does have he particular policies.. .social or fiscal which appeal?
Educate me.. cause so far.. all I have heard about this man (who appears to have come from nowhere) is that he is Black and he 'may' be Muslim...
jbibiza: I'm sorry Oso, have to disagree with you on this one, getting a BJ in the office doesn't bother me in the least compared to completely destroying the entire economy of the largest economy in the world, or destroying the 7th largest economy in the world (Calilf) by not stepping in and regulating the energy commission (which Clinton did do) when some poor decisions were made at a State level... or spreading fear in order to revoke personal freedom, and then there's the war... No, the BJ doesn't bother me at all.
Calif.. Economy was in the toilet wayyyyyy before Clinton. Many/most of these issues are controlled at state level, not by the President.
In response to: spreading fear in order to revoke personal freedom
How did Clinton do this? I don't know But I know Bush and his administration have done nothing but this!

Again apart from the fact that Clinton is a man who had an 'affair' (as extremely unusual as that might seem)... what was about Mr Clintons leadership of your country did u find so detrimental politically or socially...

Again just curious..
I'm not a Republican, but Bill did set things up so that the incoming Prez (almost a given to NOT be a Demorat after his little antic...which actually could have been set up by another party in you want to throw in a conspiracy idea) would face MANY financial problems due to some of his programs and signings. I can't give any specifics without re-researching it...just remember I was unhappy about his late-temr moves and the deficit to come. I was hoping he'd just fade away...

Genuinely curious
I,ve stated it many times in other threads,, not going to do it all over again.
I only started this thread to show every that has been screaming that Obama is a muslim That he in fact is not!
Just is wrong that if someone don't like him for any reason.. they just so desperately want to believe everything bad anyone says. And want to spread all of the hate they can.

The economy was better for one. which I personally think is most important. Iraq has nothing to do with our freedom and it does not affect our democracy.
There is so much money in that war, that it is economically impossible to pull out now.
It is also economically unfeasible to NOT be at war. I was following the money behind the war and the numbers and number of jobs is freaking STAGGERING! Billions of dollars going to well over 100 companies, and thousands and thousands of jobs. No war, no money, loss of jobs, etc.
It's crazy how the republicans got away with all of this. Even if the dems take control of the presidency, we won't be pulling out f iraq any time soon.

even when they know it is lies.
There is also an email floating around (quoting a supposed "Swopes.com" or "Snope.com" that claims he belongs to an all black church that pledges undying support for Mother Africa". I always check Snopes when someone "appears" to have misspelled the name...and have only found 1 out of about 30 things to be confirmed by that site. Good site.

.
He IS a member of the united trinity church of christ (I thin that's the name). He's been a member for over 20 years. That is a fact, he said so himself.
Check their web site. (utcc, i think) In their doctrine, it explains in plain english.
"we have an obligation to mother africa first." or something along those lines. I know peple who have emailed the church personally to find out Obama's actual affiliation to the church. I don;t know if they got an answer yet or not
I don't care what church he goes to, But I find it disturbing that his church says "AFrica first"
I think a president should put AMERICA first. What's equally disturbung is that Obama has said publically that his religion guides EVERY facet of his life. It influences all his decisions. I think that's wwrong no matter what religion you are.
