All this talk about nurses and firemen and teachers really has nothing to do with the really low paid clerical officers who have had pay cuts while there bosses had there pay cuts reversed. I thought this thread was supposed to be about the Passport Office and CPSU members?
Every body has the same entitlements, it depends on your earnings and circumstances. Are you saying a single parent who works full time should be no better off than one who doesnt? That would great for the country wouldnt it? Take away all incentive to work and sponge off the state completely! You are incredible!
Would you shut up and listen to the facts! Many clerical officers are only on 400 average per week, they qualify for medical cards and family income supplement, they wouldnt need those social welfare benefits , while working full time, if they were on the wage you are saying they are on
You dont get it, do you? The people behinds the counters are the lowest paid in the civil service, many with earnings so low that they qualify for medical cards and Family Income Supplement. These are the people who have taken the brunt of the pay cuts, not the Fat Cats , who had there pay cuts reversed! If this happened to you , would you really let it happen without some action? Some things are more important than a trip to Disneyland
I was wondering why the invitation doesnt say "and guest" or "and friend" . Is this not the norm anymore? I think it would have been considerate to give a single person the choice to bring someone instead of having to go alone? But I suppose in these recession times, I can understand why they dont!
When your single and your invited to a wedding, would you prefer to go alone, or prefer if the invitation says "and friend"? Or do they ever say that anymore?
They must be still living in the last century, actually no, the one before that! Thats unbelievable, your supposed to pretend you're happily married? Tell them to get a life! You go, and enjoy yourself! You only have one life to live.
