Ask James McClean why he never liked playing for Northern Ireland...
According to the 23-year-old ex-Derry City prodigy, it was a cold house for Catholics and he never felt comfortable playing for Northern Ireland at junior level.
Also: “I think any Catholic would be lying if they said they did feel at home, seeing all those Union Jacks and hearing the songs and the chants. I didn’t feel part of it...”
I think everyone down south would love an all Ireland team...but maybe you should ask the Northern Ireland fans if they would want a united Ireland team
You should head up to Windsor park sometime when they're playing..you'll see why this will never happen!!
It had nothing to do with football, everyone knew that, the F.A. appointed Hodgson because he's a yes man and will do what he's told, it shows the F.A. up for what it is...a corrupt, horrible organisation..but we all know how i feel about that shower after what went on last season!! i can't wait to see the outcome of the court case after the Euros!!
I don't think Gerrard will last the tournament, he keeps getting these niggling injuries, but there's plenty that can fill in for him, they'll do well!!
Italy are a great team but they hardly ever never turn up..our work rate and organisation off the ball is second to none and we're improving with the ball, never mind these warm up friendlies before the championships, nobody is up for them and they just want to get on the plane and get it started, i'd love to see them do away with them to be honest!! People are forgetting about Engerland, i think Lampard being out of the squad is great news for them, they finally have a system without the usual Lampard and Gerrard "where will they play" saga..not to mention the best keeper in the world in my opinion, anytime i've seen Parker play for them he's been brilliant aswell..i'm gonna back them anyway
Ah yeah i was only messing, sure i'll be on here when i'm hungover and can't face the world don't know about anyone else but i'm seriously looking forward to it now, think it hit me more tonight
Don't know why everyone is writing off the Irish either..obviously not fans of stats
Nope!! kind of reminds me of the Killers lyrics "i got soul but i'm not a soldier" which makes no sense at all..it's like writing "i got ham but i'm not a hamster"
If they were on their own and it was in the pub then i probably would..but not if they were with people or on their own on the street..good question though
Hahahaha i hope that's not your number...you do realize that this is a public forum and anyone can just look here without logging in?? i'd be expecting a few hundred prank phone calls if i was you..
I think the Euros is better than the World Cup, the football played by European teams is so much better than the rest of the world, ok you can take Brazil and Argentina and maybe a few more exceptions but i think this is going to be the best competition yet!! I really think Ireland will get out of their group and do well, their a very disciplined team and everyone knows their job, especially off the ball, just have to improve when we have the ball and i think we are getting better in that respect...i think England will be the team to watch too but the Germans will win it!!
Really looking forward to it..gonna suss out last minute deals and see if there's any way of me heading to Poznan
