It was his system, he's the manager, when he was appointed he has to give the owners a plan and also his system of football, they agreed to it and hired him. If they don't or can't play in that system then they're gone, simple as that!! The owner bottled it and took the players side over the manager, any manager will be mad to take that job on..discussion over as far as i'm concerned!!

Nope, i'd never keep a player as cover, he's not a sub keeper, he deserves first team football somewhere else and not just sit on the bench at Liverpool waiting for someone to get injured.
He has one of the best attitudes in football, unfortunately just hasn't got the ability or pace to match it, great servant to the club but his time is up!!
The Chelsea old guard didn't want change and if he was still there now i guarantee he would have got rid of most of them, Lampard, Drogba, Cole, Bosingwa, Kalou etc. and would have started a new era at the club...until the likes of them leave Chelsea they'll never move forward as a club, it's very hard to get tactics right when your players don't wanna play in that system!!
If AVB comes in then Carragher and Kuyt are definitely gone along with many others...i welcome any manager to come in and put his own stamp on the team, i just hope it's the right man!!
The big difference in all of that is Purple Nose, when things were against him he always had the backing of the club and the owners and there was never a knee jerked reaction to a small problem of not winning the league...that's all gonna change in maybe 2 seasons...the days of managers staying for 10+ seasons are long gone!!
The other difference is the spending, Roman is a peasant compared to these Arabs (not just one Arab either)they love football and after winning their first league title they're gonna want more and more..have you ever researched how much money they have and how much they actually earn?? The club were falling apart, 4 points from relegation and not a trophy in 6 years before he was approached and asked to assume the role after Woy, he did great and got rid of most of the dead wood that was there..i've said it many times that these things don't happen over night and it's gonna take a long time to get things right, probably longer now
