well i've a lovely 8km cycle track along the sea and no semi's near me on that bit of tarmac - if i get my bike soon, i'll get a few miles out of it before the end of the summer that's for sure.
Its probably one of the best ideas that the government have ever come up with - suppose that's a green party idea - Cowen doesn't look like a man who's been on a saddle of a bike too often.
Has anyone availed of the Bike2Work scheme opened up by the government in last year's budget?
My company recently agreed to it, they seem to be pushing Halfords as a primary source of bike shops but that's due to Halfords having a national spread of outlets than most bike shops, although my local bike shop was accepted as a supplier (which i ordered my bike with).
Anyone have good/bad experiences with their buys? Do you use the bike as much as you had planned or is it still in the shed looking as good as new?
For me, i can't wait - 2 days a week is better than 5 days a week stuck on a sweaty bus to work during the summer!
