You were missed hon... but I do understand, and I'm sure we will make up for it another time...

Yes, we had a really fab time (even if as hostess and I say so myself )

Everyone was so comfortable and relaxed...
I had tons of food and booze, (as usual I over catered and and have still got enough left over the feed the neighbours... so will soon be planning another (smaller) party I think...
As you can imagine, Foxy wowed everyone with his charm and charisma, and us CS girls nattered on and laughed like old buddies... catching up with everyone's news....

AFter the CSers departed, my friends and neighbours and I carried on eating, drinking and nattering through to late night, so a bit knackered today... but it was well worth it...

You know what they say.. it never rains but it pours...

Speaking of rain... I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will remain dry and fabulously sunny at the weekend...

Following the gloom of the last few days, I shall have to get myself feeling perky soon because I shall be hosting a BBQ at my place for 25 friends and neighbours... and the best part is that 6 of those friends will be CSers... one of whom has come all the way from Honduras to romance his lady love! Ahhhhh!

I am feeling very sad because two of my close friends are having the worse time ever….

Two days ago Friend No.1 was devastated because his partner of many years who he trusted implicitly has cleared out one of his bank account and is now trying to force the sale of a jointly-owned property…

Yesterday, I was told that Friend No.2 who was a serving member of the Royal Navy for some 25 years has now been diagnosed with terminal cancer related to asbestos (a disease which apparently can lie dormant anywhere between 20 and 50 years)... he underwent the most horrendos spinal op last year and ended up in intensive care...only now to be told there is no treatment available to cure his illness....

Today, Friend No.1 very kindly drove me to my local shop to pick up some supplies… 5 minutes later when I got back to the car he was sitting there looking rather pale… while I was in the shop he received a telephone call to say that his sister had just died suddenly!


Oh... for the feel of a hug......
