This is the craic...I tried to install xp sp2 on to a friends machien tonight but the product key was 'in valid'.;even though I took the 'PK' from the cd...(I opened up the cd went to the i386 file and took it from there)....
I put another working XP into it and it seem's the installation is caught in some sort of loop!!! I can't boot from a new CD, everytime when I power on I get the installation page (39 mins job) from XP....(I opened up the bio's to boot from CD not the HDD)
I've tried to clear the CMOS by removing the battery and RAM but to no avail...I've even tried to reformat the HDD with ubuntu 10.10 the same..everytime I boot, it automatically brings me to the 39mins install xp screen shot and ask's me to put in the cd to finish installing (the product kzy doesn't work)...I've tried several other VLK's (same story..key invalid)..;
I hope I made sense...If anyone can shed some light on the subject...I'll buy them a pint...
I know what time it is in sarkoville..in the UK it's 12.30...New York is about 5/6 hours behind..Christ knows what time it is in Ozzie land...LA is 9 hours or so behind...(Check my IP if you want..I'll gladly give it...) I am in the leafy suburbs of sarkoville until this weekend ...then I'm getting pissed as a fart with my mucker (thats the plan)
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't..Yes it's very different kissing with your eye's open..It is for me anyway..At the end of the day enjoy it for what it is...

Help needed ASAP on xp...
