RE: Favorite place to eat in NC?

In Charlotte: Tin Tins on Park road, best Asian buffet, plus open Christmas day. Rusan's on the other end of Park, the best sushi with a great atmosphere and HUGE selection. Wolfman's Pizza, several locations, California style, so many choices and options, try a salad and breadsticks, the artichoke dip is to die for. The Smokehouse Grill, just off of park, fried chicken takes 20 minutes to make, cause its FRESH, and they have several unique things, like BBQ meatloaf, where they grill a slice and serve it with their own carolina style sauce. BBQ King and the Penguin grill have both been on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on Food Network for a reason. Mama Ricotta's has some great choices and serve food family style, try the goat and marscapone cheese appetizer.

In Indian Trail: try New York Pizza and Pasta, fantastic pizza, New York style of course.

In Stallings: try Pizza Palace, they have hot wings on the buffet, and he makes the best sausage pizza, in a very different way, and the owner is a real nice guy to boot.

In Monroe: Ajimi's is the best sushi and buffet for lunch (a Sunday Favorite). the Village Grill has interesting Greek choices. The Wishbone Diner has great stuff and a really nice family running it who make you feel at home (they make me get my own tea though). La Unica, the one on Walkup (they are a local chain) has the BEST Mexican food PERIOD (the green salsa is a real burner, but excellent).

If you go to South Carolina, go to the Smokehouse (I think its in Ruby) on 151, its a buffet with BBQ on it, smoked leg quarters, BBQ ribs, pulled pork, real homemade macaroni and cheese. Dont let the looks fool you, great food for lunch or dinner (its on the way to the beach).

Hmmm, I seem to know too many places...

RE: trojan horses found

I just caught 3 from here trying to sneak in, with microsoft security essentials and superantispyware, safari was shut down to keep one of them from launching, a little search and found the other 2, guess I need to tighten up my firewall too

RE: What is the crazyest thing you ever done when you were young?

I ripped my nose off my face when I was 5 with my friend, a rope, a tree, and a monkey wrench, the MP's had to get my mom and it took 3 corpsman to hold me down while they sewed it back on (it didnt get all fixed till I was in my 30's)

We moved, they bought us rockets instead of microscopes (read the catalog number wrong) and I launched and over powered rocket... it wasnt my fault the F4 came over the trees and the rocket shot in front of him, or that the pilot was just back from Vietnam and freaked, dropped his tank, taking out a house that no one was in at the time, and hit his afterburners, setting trees on fire, the cops took me home, the FAA and several other people showed up right after, I couldnt sit for a week, and we never launched rockets again (at school anyway)

We moved, we raced shopping carts down the hill in the middle of the night, was taken home by the cops (didnt know it was a cop car till I hit it and the lights came on), next we "haunted" a building site after we told the night guard that it had been a graveyard and they moved MOST of the bodies, cops took me home. Tossed an M80 down the toilet at the park, it took out the sewage pipe, closing the park for months, the cops didnt take me home, but they were waiting when I got there.

We moved again and discovered if you kicked the street lights they would go out for about 15 minutes, it attracted a copter and enough police to cover the neighborhood, they didnt catch us, but they were waiting, pretty much sure I was involved, took the street sign marking a sinkhole so of course the first car to hit it was a cop, he shot at me he was so mad and then realized he was a bit out of control.

I wont say what happened when I got in the Navy, even though I am pretty sure the statute of limitations here are run out, I am still not allowed in Saudi Arabia to this day though...

Looking back I think it was a bad sign that they knew who either did it or talked someone else into it (I was the kid your parents were talking about when they tried to warn you about "bad influences")

RE: being a president

so basically only native americans could be president? wait, that means latinos too, since they were here first... everyone else is only a mix, or not americans.

you also realize that our first few presidents were crooks and the like, right? they broke the laws here and there to get us away from england, and were all very crooked about it.

lastly, polygraphs are not admissible in court for a reason, they are not accurate, can be beaten, and are subject to the judgement of the tester, so no one could be president because the one party would cry foul about the other parties person because they dont believe the test results and want to see them take one with THEIR tester.

as for investigating people, this is america, land of the free, not land of big brother. we are innocent until proven guilty, not presumed guilty because of who we know.

just my thoughts

RE: Anime ?

predominately prepubescent girls with large eyes, small mouths and long long thin legs, or thats the stereotype (not to mention the tentacle monster).

its just a form of art where they tell stories that are different, quite a bit of it is about teens, and teens in love, while the majority of it that we see here is either ultra-violent or very suggestive, or, in the case of the stuff for kids, designed to sell cards and toys, but almost all of it is toned down for american audiences.

RE: Boring men!!

simple, you take either a hard corn tortilla shell, or soft corn or flour tortilla shell, fill with whatever you want, anything from shredded beef to grilled shrimp, toss in a bit of sauce, the spicier the better, some cheese, your choice, and perhaps a bit of lettuce and/or tomato and enjoy. someone even makes a chocolate version with strawberry ice cream.

tacos are only limited to your imagination, which is why TACOS RULE!

RE: Boring men!!

wow... not even close

RE: Boring men!!

Seriously? You dont know what a taco is? Its like the 2nd best food in the world, after pizza, and almost as versatile to.

wow, doesnt know what a taco is...

RE: Boring men!!

you can EAT tacos naked, its just not real smart to MAKE them naked

RE: Boring men!!

Do you think it could just be that they are looking at your pictures and their brains just kind of seize up as the blood they need to run it correctly flows DOWN someplace below the waist, lowering their IQ's by quite a few points?

RE: Boring men!!

Aren't like 4 of your 5 answers something along the lines of 'tacos rule!' (which they do, but thats not the point)?

RE: Are you Afraid To Die!?

My boss says I will be the death of him, I scare him doing things that dont seem dangerous to me but scare the heck out of him for some reason. I have no real fear of death, its being incapacitated physically or mentally by surviving something that SHOULD kill me that worries me. It probably stems from having little sense of self worth when I was younger, or maybe I am just stupid (my boss thinks thats probably what it is).
