Well bottom line is that it is still themsleves that are to blame..

Well this actually is quite interesting.. and the responses so far have left me slightly irked.

The fact that she made the comment about 'just physical' AFTER returning is, for me, where the issue lies. This should have been made clear upfront.

Its easy for people to berate the OP for this post, but I cant help feeling, were the tables turned, and it was a male who had done this, he would be getting hammered for his actions by now.

I would also be interested in knowing if the profile of the lady in question made any point about looking for this kind of activity.

I think the core of this tread is quite important actually, as I do believe MANY users of this site would be quite put off by this behaviour.

Seriously, I don't think it's a good advert for the site, and I don't think the responses here are either.

I'm not saying it was wrong, but I don't think it should be endorsed either, and I certainly don't think the OP deserved to be told to grow up.

Just my personal opinion.

well neither of them move in straight lines for long, so it would be interesting to see if either of them made the finish line.

But... if they were to be persuaded to move straight, and they were both moving, for the entire duration of the race, and neither had a head start., and it was a normal garden snail and a normal black ant.... the ant would win by a mile... not a bet... a fact.

Approx average speed...

Ant - 0.75 mph
Snail - 0.03 mph
