I already give blood but would prefer to give platelets cos I can give them more often and its to help cancer patients the only thing is I'll have to either go to cork or dublin once a month
I still have to talk myself into the bone marrow registry I guess I'll give giveblood.ie a call and find out what I want to know about the surgery before I do anything
Thanks lovey went on a search myself and found it already are ya hooked up to a dialysis machine to take out the platelets ?
I was reading up about bone marrow aswell you can only give marrow like once a year and its 2 days in the hospital and a week to recover I wouldnt mind giving it .
