I used to get called in to give blood in Scotland as I have a low platelet count but in Ireland there was a big BSE scare a few years back and they don't want my blood here because I was a UK resident. I reckon it's a plot! They're afraid that royal blue blood like mine dilutes the guiness in Irish veins!laugh

Well I've cleaned out plenty of animals which made me wretch in the early days but I got used to it. I also deal with dead mice and snake poo on a regular basis (not for the faint hearted) but I'd say it would take me a bit of getting used to to see an open infected wound or the likes.

I also hate giving blood.

Im the same Id rather know exactly the
ins and outs of the surgery before
I sign up for anything .

@serenegreen If you went for the blood donation option
it only takes like 10 minutes for the whole procedure

but if it really makes you faint might not be the best idea
