Bluefish I did not say it wasnt uncommon, nor did I infer anything different towards yourself, as your post hints at by the sarcasim.
You have a nice night, it looks like you are totally closed to other opinions other than those that are yours, and I for one cant be bothered with closed minds such as you display.
Quite happy to agree to disagree with you on the Ships in US Ports issue.
Alberta, finally someone in this thread that talks some sense. I think Bluefish is so far on her high horse that she lets her reality distort the facts at times. Cant fault her passion though!
Rob - thanks for your, and your families, military service to NZ. Quite often a simple thanks goes missing.
Actually its not the point of it. The point of it is that NZ are now being invited to take part in these exercises, whilst being recognised that yes, we do have a nuclear policy that we are not willing to compromise on, but we can work around it.
You have to remember that the USA has their own policies as well, so I see this as a suitable compromise where both nations can get on with things without loosing face.
Who cares where they are moored? They are still involved in the exercise, our military men and women are still being exposed to new training and maenouvres with like minded navies, and NZ is still benefitting from this.
Just have a browse through the profile on here and you can tell by a persons picture and their particulars if they are from a foreign country, I can understand if english was a second language but most are not, grammar in a sentence and spelling is more important to me than if someone weights the weight of an elephant, some thing people dont like others are fine with it.
If I came across a profile with bad spelling or grammar I wouldnt look twice at them even if they were attractive.
New Zealand will win it ... home soil, home crowds, to big, strong and skillfull. However, If Dan Carter or Richie McCaw are unavailble due to injury, then I wouldnt be quite so sure ... mind you I tend to be a tad biased lol
I met my soulmate on here, and the funny thing was I wasnt even looking!!! It sort of snuck up on me, and we ended up marrying, with me the happiest guy in the world Couldnt be happier, and it all occurred when I least expected it, nor looking for it
I have had relationships where it was nothing and easily forgotten, couldnt be me or couldnt open up to the person...
Now i have found someone who loves me for who i am, my emotions, my thoughts and respects me for me, i didnt think this would ever happen and has turned my world upside down!!
Dont ever settle for second best, and it will happen when you least expect it too
