Oh, I forgot to add... I had the feeling the saga of the "Say Something Spectacularly Stupid to Someone" was the meeting place for official daily drivel
Yeah, the "daily drivellers" or "tea & biscuits" brigade do bore me to tears .... I've actually taken a new hobby up of watching a dripping tap to help save my sanity. The numerous "Woesome me" threads and daily drivel by the same group really was becoming to much to bear
I've noticed none of them have posted in this thread so obviously the key to help stave off their mundane mumblings and mutual adoration behaviour is to make a thread discussing the problem
They obviously recognize themselves so can't be living in complete denial, so maybe there is hope
Ben002 & Tomatt I'm definitely still considering the yoga option. Though not sure I can get my legs in the lotus position
Do any of you know anything about T'ai Chi by the way? Someone says it's a good exercise but I thought it was a form of martial arts, unless I'm on the wrong track
I had to look up what those type of bikes were.. I would definitely fall asleep riding one of those I don't drive so cycle 10 miles a day getting to work and back on my trusty old racing bike. One day about 4 years ago I was riding to work at 5am and fell asleep on it Luckily I woke up just as I was about to crash into a back of a car
I think yours will definitely be life enhancements.. The English teacher one will help your career whilst the Italian language one should help in your communications with the Italian people when you relocate there. The course I end up enrolling for will just be an hobby for me. It's only 2 hours a week for ten weeks which doesn't seem like a long time but still tricky to fit in timewise. Obviously, not as time consuming as both your courses will be though.. .. I'm feeling tired just thinking about all the hours you will have to put in
Thanks all who replied and thanks for having some faith in me When I mentioned these courses to my son, he just said "Good God" ...and when I told everyone at work this morning they never said anything. All they did was stand there looking stunned like this -->
The courses start 12 Jan so I'll let you know which one I enrolled for when I finally make my mind up
Here's complete list by the way:
1) Drawing and Painting. 2)T'ai Chi 3)Yoga 4)Water Mixed Oil Painting 5):Guitar: Beginners 6)Complete Beginners guide to Sewing 7)Sculpture with Clay 8)Cushions, Crafts and Cards 9)Dressmaking and Tailoring 10)Songwriting Tips and Techniques 11)Seasonal Gardening 12)Pottery 13)Chinese Watercolour Painting 14)Drawing and Painting from a life model 15)How to restyle your clothes 16)Drawing and Painting - Portraits from Photographs. 17)Grow Your own Vegetables
Anyone considering taking up any new hobbies or pastimes in 2009?
I've decided I'm going to enrol for either Sculpture/Pottery or Yoga on a ten week course, 2 hours a week. All, I need to do is decide which one to choose
RE: How do you do it...
