RE: Is there a woman on this site that is serious about meeting?

What does "looky lose" mean or did you just make it up? laugh

RE: Possible Get Togethers For Photography outings

Blimey, I found this thread title so misleading. I honestly thought it was asking members if they wanted to get together to have their photos taken together as in a group photo with us in our best poses and all looking our best!

In the UK we call walks like this rambling and also nature walks. I do ride a racing bike though but doubt by the time I'd ridden from the UK to Canada that I'd be looking in any fit state to be having my photo taken of myself riding along the biking path. Good luck though anyway in finding people who are interested in joining you thumbs up uk

RE: disagreeing and how to handle it.

I cannot understand that but don't really mind as I don't want to know what it is like to truly love a woman anyway wave

RE: disagreeing and how to handle it.

I'm a bit of a confrontational person so sometimes have a lot of arguments, had two already today, one with son and one at work. Don't seem to argue with my friends though. I sometimes wish I could stay cool more when someone annoys me but guess with my Aries temper along with the fact that I have to say my piece when I've got s bee in my bonnet its not going to happen. Good thing is I do instantly cool down once I've erupted so it can't be a bad thing uk

RE: which is your favorite old Culture ?????

Egyptian I especially like Goddess Bast. Also as I'm into feng shui the chinese old culture is of interest to me. I quite like Japanese old culture too. I've a penpal who lives in Itami who's explained a lot of it to me. uk

RE: if you won 10 million pounds how much would you give your collegues family and freinds?

Yes, as long as we give it to charities that have touched our hearts we can't go wrong. thumbs up

RE: crazy girlfriend wanted with nice behind ...please help to find her ! £5 reward

I'm more of a crazy oldbird than a crazygirlfriend!Don't exactly have a nice behind anymore either, think it had it's day about ten years ago then downhill forever after. Look on the bright side though, at least you'd only have to pay about £2.50 reward money, unless you pay them a fiver to go and lose me again laugh rolling on the floor laughing

RE: if you won 10 million pounds how much would you give your collegues family and freinds?

I'd give some to my son and some to my true friends. I'd also give a fair bit to a local animal rescue shelter and an hospice as I've done voluntary work at these places and so realise and appreciate how dedicated they are and how much they need the money. I reckon, I'd go 50/50 give 5 million away and keep 5 million. uk

RE: What turns you on the most?

I like english accents as long as its a northern accent. Also like Italian accents.

RE: Pros and Cons of Dating Sites

I think the pro is that its easy to meet people online on these sites who are your type and who you would probably get on with in real life.

The cons are mainly the distance thing also the thought of having to meet someone as in the blind date scenario.

I've been online 12 years and only had one boyfriend who I met online in all that time. My other boyfriends I met in real life so guess I'm more of a reality person. i think these sites are great if you're a person that likes travelling and meeting people in this way though.

However, I might be meeting a bloke soon who only lives 2 miles from me who I met on another site, so guess for me it really is the distance that I consider the greatest con uk

RE: the english

Hiya lyndacj wave I agree with what you say about the UK forums.
Although I've been on this site since jan 06 I've only been going on the forums for 2 or 3 months. They were okay at first but even I've noticed how downhill they've gone in such a short time.

No idea why though but did hear that a lot have left. Not sure of the reasons though. Maybe they found their ideal partners and ran off with them, or just decided to leave the site for other reasons.

Also, the uk forums seem full of "dullards" as in the "the lights are on but no ones home type of person!" On the international forums you find the more intellectual type thumbs up uk

RE: I hate money!

I totally disagree with what you're saying----> "This is why if you give a poor person money in a year or so they will be poor again, they have no apreciation of the money. Now you teach them to earn it, and it is quite different"

I know plenty who work really long hours in low paid jobs and appreciate what they earn.

I've also known poor people who have won money on the lottery, been thankful for it and not blown it all. Because, they have known the hardship of being struggling and poor they've invested it etc to made sure their family won't have to go through same thing.

What about the poor people in poverty countries who work long and hard for hardly any money? they must surely appreciate it more than some "fat cat " type who lives in a wealthier country.

I also think being poor is often down to circumstances beyond our control sometimes, such as single parenthood, being widowed or one reason or another.

Unless, you're solely talking of the scrounger types who are capable of working but choose to live on benefits. If you do mean those types, they're usually better off than people working in low paid jobs also they often work "on the side" so really they're not "poor" at all.

To be honest, I find the ones who don't really appreciate money are the ones who are rolling in it and have more money than sense

RE: descibe how your feeling use as many words as you like

Ahem, excuse me Welshboy, in the first place I weren't even talking to you. I was replying to the things bubbly said in her post.

As for you saying it's none of my business. Hell, your business seems to be everyones business on here! We can't escape it! All we see is you banging on and on and on about same old thing. Not in a couple of threads but in every thread! To be honest, I'm sick of people moaning about how bored they are of reading it, also sick of them laughing about it! I have a sense of humour but not a nasty one. You've never come across to me as being nasty, just a bit naive. Did you not read her post at all??? about you being laughing stock etc or whichever term she used. By the way, I'm not one of the ones who are laughing, nor am I going to get into any childish squabbles with you or any of your sidekicks.

Lastly, I do hope I'm wrong and everything does work out for you...

RE: Just how attached can one get with this internet dating?

Hmmm, s similar thing happened to one of my friends a few years ago.
She was 56, 2 grown up kids. one had already left the nest, the other one still at home but totally selfish to her. She was married but her and her husband didn't speak, in fact they'd been living like that for 7 years. Then her son gets a computer and she starts going on chatrooms in the evenings, gets pally with this guy and just ups and leaves to go live with him without saying goodbye to her family and friends. Two weeks later her husband is killed by a massive heart attack. So then her sons turn against her saying he had heart attack because of what she did. But, then the truth comes out that he had heart trouble for past 2 years and was on medication for it, of course she didn't know as her and her husband hadn't spoken for 7 years. It really was a nightmare for all involved and theres more to it which I won't go into on here. Also, she ended up a lot worse off financially, obviously she met a good wordsmith who pulled at her heartstrings too. Obviously becoming too attached with interner dating comes at an high price. You didn't say the outcome, if her family forgave her and took her back. Don't ever see my friend returning though, how can she when her own kids blame her totally for their dads death. But that's life I guess uk

RE: descibe how your feeling use as many words as you like

Bye Bubbly! Your thoughts seem to echo what a lot of other people are saying on this site. I'm sorry you're feeling so sad though and obviously feel as if you're no other option but to leave.

Good plan though, "Give time a chance to tell" then you can return and say "I told you so!" thumbs up wave

RE: worst experience at the hairdressers??

My worst disaster was when I was aged 25 and had an 80s perm that went wrong or maybe it was right but just looked wrong on me I'm not sure. Either way, it looked a mess. Took about ten years to get rid of too laugh

RE: What is the first thing u notice about a person when you first see them

Same with me, eyes are the first thing I notice too, unless they're wearing shades dancing If that was the case, it would be their hair that I'd notice first uk

RE: I would like to know who is here in CS to find her/his soulmate????

Not me, only really here for a good laugh and to chat any fit blokes up thumbs up

RE: Just how attached can one get with this internet dating?

No, I don't get attached to it at all. I've only met one bloke from my 12 years online, all my other men I've met in real life so guess that makes me more of a reality person. I don't even find typing to men online very easy either, would rather communicate with them in the flesh, sit next to them etc. Guess, there are certain blokes online i wouldn't mind getting attached to but they're usually too far away for me to get my claws into. thumbs down thumbs down uk

RE: loved by many, hated by plenty, and wanted by many.

Yeah, you look lovable enough from where I'm sitting thumbs up

RE: loved by many, hated by plenty, and wanted by many.

I came into this thread cos I thought it said "loved by men, hated by plenty and wanted by many! Think I'll just creep out again --> laugh

Astrology

Wow, you mean convert your starsign like you can change religion and change your taste in music, sounds good to me, I'll even bring along some sticks of dynamite to make sure we go with an extra bang devil smitten roll eyes

Astrology

Tsk, You didn't write the full statement as I wrote it.. "think Geminis are supposed to be compatible with librans, Cancerians, Aquarius and Taureans and Ariens!" laugh Plus you've not told me your starsign yet, I keep distracting you by saying other things to you smitten devil kiss

Astrology

Hey Crazy, sorry I didn't answer you had to dash to work, think Geminis are supposed to be compatible with librans, Cancerians, Aquarius and Taureans and Ariens. My ex I mentioned earlier in the thread who was a gemini, was also married to an Aries before he met me. He used to alway say because geminis an air sign it oxygenates Aries, with it being a firesign. looks like it only kept the fire going for 7 years though cos he spent 7 years with his ex wife and 7 with me laugh

Astrology

Supposed to be cancer and scorpio. I've 2 friends who are capricorns and they're married to Pisceans, not even sure if they're meant to be compatible or what but seems to work for them laugh

Astrology

I'm ox in chinese horoscope, that kinda matches me as well.

Astrology

I don't think you're around the forums anymore but thought I'd answer your reply anyway.

I'd forgotten all about starting this thread until I accidently just clicked on "my threads!" But yes, I agree that Geminis seem to have a lot going for them. One of my favourite ex boyfriends was a Gemini.
Very arty and creative, always cooking, painting, and had new things on the go all the time. Downside, he was the biggest flirt I ever knew, an even bigger flirt than me!

I think I'd quite like to be associated to maybe Taurus or Saggitarius. I always find Taureans practical, steady, reliable and independent. Whereas with me being Aries I'm more free spirited and emotionally volatile. I think Saggis are similar to me but not as mad. uk

RE: Funny People

Adrian Edmondson
Rik Mayall
Kathy Burke
Harry Enfield
Catherine Tate

I like them all as much, so can't really say I've a favourite one. Will have to have a fave five insteaduk

RE: It's Official

Congratulations to you both cheering Now all that's left is for me to find myself an husband on here roll eyes

RE: Crash Film of Princess Diana

I've nothing against channel 4 broadcasting this. I think if they don't, then some other channel will show it. I don't know if it's even been shown on some website before now anyway, If it has lots will have already seen it.

I do also think a lot of people will watch it out of curiosity. I won't be watching it. It's not my thing plus I'm squeamish about programmes like that
