This is why people should ask each other for proof of some sort........the more you know about each other the easier you can learn to trust......exactly the same way as in real life......nothing wrong in asking to see a pic/video of their passport/drivers licence etc etc.......using common sense on the internet is a MUST

The internet maybe a virtual world,but the people writing the words on a screen are real.......I for one cannot be fooled by fakes, wannabes, scammers or liars.........you forgot to mention the good old telephone, audios, videos and the webcam these three devices bring in more "reality" into the cyber world........as for love, yes its real if you and the person you fall in love with are honest and genuine and can tell the difference between reality in the real world and the reality in the cyber world
