RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Thats interesting and different to what i have believed. Thanks for the info.

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Wow... Many relatives in brooklin all went to Rc schools and did very well, gaining scolarships to high schools and Ivy League Colleges.... Always struck me that private schools, and the work ethic within, excelled more.......

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Furthermore, whats next that the parent signs a form stating that they, their kids and their kids' kids will all practice catholocism for the rest of their lives... The role of the school is to teach... not interfer with the parents role as a parent..... Again I know they(the rc church) have the right to do this..... I just believe that they should stick to educational issues.... However I know that they WILL NOT as their role in this world is Soul Collection

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Yeah, you say that, but for the better part, Religious based schools do far better than Public schools... Do they not? So most parents will want whats best for their kids... Same in Ireland and the UK... parents move to be in the catchment area for good schools

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Thats not my point, they would see you as from the "FOLD"....even with that are you directly teaching the kids. I know the set up very well in ireland as a first cousin of mine runs the school programme for the Jesuits, and for the better part RC or at the very least christians are employed to the vital roles as seen by him and his fellow priests.

However, would they employ a Muslim or Jewish teacher to teach religion classes, or indeed an athiest/evolutionist to teach geography....... It would go against everything that they hold dear to themselves.

I degress, sorry, I believe that they are meddeling in a parents role, unneccessarily.

RE: The perfect man

I'm over hererolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing Well my mother used to say I was perfect... but that some time ago nowcheers grin

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

How strange that is... May be a few Rabbi's should apply for preaching jobs at the new Mosque planned for NYC... I would have assumed that, that kind of basic difference would preclude you from a job....

Again on the other point... I know that the Rc church can invoke any rule for their school( not breaking the law of the land) thats a given..... However I'm asking IS IT RIGHT that they do? as opposed to DO THEY HAVE THE RIGHT to do it?

After all the damage that they have caused I think that it a bit rich of them to demand anything.

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Good job we're typing, and not talking solaugh Ouch had them all done a few years back... Looked like Desparate Dan, the comic character for about a week or so. Hope you feel better soon .

But it's a private school too

RE: Did you know Albert Einstein actually believed in God

One can only live in hopelaugh

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

But a man couldn't join an "ALL WOMENS CLUB", so why should a, Say, jewish school accept a muslim teacher..... That's just rational not discrimination...

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

A child's, under the age of Legal Majority, right to privacy is superceded by a parents DUTY of care to that child. The parent is both legally and morally responsible for their childs safety. For me it will be a condition of use as my kids get older. As they learn the realities of the world and understand these then greater freedom can be granted.

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Was refering to computer use in school, kids at home are the parents responsibility, A parent needs to supervise internet usage of any child at home... Computers should be in a common area in the home... certainly until kids are well into their later teens.IMO

RE: Due Diligence, or a Violation of Children's Rights??

Sounds like a way to cover their, pardon the pun, Asses. A we informed them of the dangers so we're not to blame.... again.

Why do kids need phones in school?? It possible to block mobile signals from an area.....

How much does a 13 year old kid really understand the REAL dangers? No very I believe.

RE: Are you sure there is no God?

People are not here only for dating. Many are here for the forums. If you do not wish to take part in a particular forum, so be it... others are free to post as they see fit... Especially Boban and his brand of humourthumbs up

RE: Did you know Albert Einstein actually believed in God

The mind BOGGLES, how can an adult write, let alone believe this waffle.

RE: Are you sure there is no God?

Simply put.... YES..i'm sure

RE: Did you know Albert Einstein actually believed in God

This should have started with, A long, long, long time ago...in a galaxy far, far, far away................

As all the other fairy tales start

RE: Procrastination... what do you think?

Ah tomorrow or even the next day will do i'm sure, what do you think>>>>>

RE: Did you know Albert Einstein actually believed in God

Well they're bound to say he works in mysterious ways, nevermind i'm sure he'll start to rain "MANNA FROM HEAVEN", on the poor starving africans suffering from drought and starvation, any day soon... he being so compassionate and loving.... surely he wouldn't hold these people to blame for the famine etc... Or is it their free will that they starve to death... kids and all

RE: ELLIMERE asks why does my spelling bother you so much ??

After the comments she posted on the LM photo thread she got off lightly, She attacked the OP here for spelling issues as she couldn't win on her opinion that we hadn't hijacked the thread. She is a bitter Bint in my opinion... but may be i should have taken the higher moral ground... my badcheers

Everyone on here is entitled to their opinion and i have no problem with yours...... No matter how wrong it isrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing handshake

RE: ELLIMERE asks why does my spelling bother you so much ??

Well she did at mine..."shivers with fear"... she got arsy on the Larry Murphy photo thread with both me and Ellimere, as we were debating the benifits of Martial art training for women as a defence to potential attackers

RE: ELLIMERE asks why does my spelling bother you so much ??

I was going to post the exact same, but figured it would be disrespectful to the old bintcheers

RE: ELLIMERE asks why does my spelling bother you so much ??

Annoyed... I suggest not at all. I can communicate just fine thank you very much. Figure as you will, as to my IQ, but why would a faceless person lie about something so silly, as no one here knows who i am, other than those i know and trust. You're one of these "HAS TO BE RIGHT AND HAVE THE LAST WORD" types, well i hope that works out well for you, because whilst you'll have that, it will probably be all you have.

Of course if you took your head from ... well you know where, you'd see that the OP asked about ways to defend yourself in the event of an attack.... Did you only partially read the thread or just choose to ignore what didn't suit you

Good bye and enjoy your life

RE: ELLIMERE asks why does my spelling bother you so much ??

Oh if you wish to debate or talk to me do it in public as i don't wish to recieve any further emails from you.

RE: ELLIMERE asks why does my spelling bother you so much ??

She got personal because she had nowhere else to turn.... I can tell for our chat that you're far from thick... pay her no attention... The bitter retired lonely woman

RE: ELLIMERE asks why does my spelling bother you so much ??

Don't worry about her. I suffer from dyslexia as do many other people, in general it a sign of intelligence but alas she too ignorant to be aware of that fact.... God love her, her parents must have tied a bone around her neck as a child so the dog would play with her.... For me ugliness comes from a persons inside, and holy cow she's not very nice
