I go along with this point of view. Taking the planet as an ecosystem, then of course Nature will come up with various illnesses and Viurs to "THIN US OUT" from time to time. Over time there's be plagues, virus after virus, natural disasters etc.

At 6 billion and rising there are already too many of us on the planet, it seems whether it's TB, AIDS, HIV, Cancer, ebola or hurricanes, tornado's or earthquakes... mother nature will regin supreme

Well there's a lot of believers out there that should be really happy, that we the non believers aren't employing the tactics used by the "CHRISTIANS" to convience you of the error of your beliefs. There would be a whole lots of burnings and drownings taking place right now.

Little or non of the christians beliefs holds any water at all, and as for the evidence provided to back up your beliefs... Yes the Bible, this book written by men, pretty screwed up men at that, is on a recalling of stories told. Now chinese whispers springs to mind.. and if a circle of people can't deliver a story accurately over a time line of tens of minutes.... what hope is there for any truth in the bible.... written decades and centuries after the events.

But, if he existed he was crucified on a DATE... One day in time... fixed in time... not a floating pagan ritual date.
So if he was born in spring why steal an earlier religions festival...... to convert people that why.. to make the new religion fit in with the older belief systems.... CONTROL... If you truely believe that true religion doesn't crave power and control, then i put it to you that there is no ture religion as they all want power and control... That is because Christianity stole/borrowed ideas from all the "religions" that preceeded it.....

JUST look at Easter...... If Jesus was crucified it was on a fixed date in time... CORRECT.... Yet the date for easter is based on earlier pagan rituals... IE the first sunday, after the first full moon after the 22nd March......

Christmas is the same... stolen for earlier beliefs... So if the earth is only 6,000 years old... How are there fossils of fish in rocks high up on Everest.......

Too many holes in the God/Christian belief and teachings and to cover them up, The "you've got to have faith" rubbish was brought into existence.

To me the idea of religion isn't all that bad, however the people behind it craving Power and control over others is where the true evil of religion lies. That people blindly believe and follow amazes me.. but some people have that strong a desire to belong/ fit in

Yeah a lovely little harbour town. We used go down there from terryglass in the boats for a few beers after skiing and then back to terryglass for food. It's just so beautiful there.... Ah what memories

NO problem.... we see eye to eye and have spoken before.. I was under a different and deleted username...

The GOD SQUAD don't do facts and examples.. only hearsay and fiction... The bible being a great example.

I gave up the debate with people some time ago on the basis that you can't win a debate with someone who doesn't care for the truth no matter how real it is.

This is the same system as is used in Acupuncture, acupressure. The meriadian lines and gates used are all part of the energy system. The Shaolin Monks are the best know practicioners of this. What they can do, is truely beyond belief. It shows what can be achieved through years of dedication and practice

It's good to see you're still waging the brave battle, and getting nowhere. I tired a while back of it, however still enjoy your posts... as always very well informed and educated.

Let me know if you actually get one of them to admit that they may be wrong about the whole god thing... that said i'll be 70 +++ if it ever happens

That fact that the US airforce didn't bomb Hiroshima at all, not even once prior to the dropping of the "BOMB" speaks volumes of the intention, i believe.

This is believed to be the case as an accurate BDA( Bomb Damage Assessment) could only be carried out after if no other damage had been caused by prior bombing....

There were many reasons behind the action including retaliation, testing and striking fear into their(USA) enemies. The testing side of it was as they knew they had a massive bomb from the Los Alomos tests, they knew nothing of the damage it may cause in a real life situation.....

Had the German side won the war, there would have been no doubt that the Americans would have faced war crime charges....

Whilst I haven't had an OBE, i had a strange experience many years ago.When my dad died,I was in Portugal and i travelled home. He was to go to a funneral home. Whilst flying back I saw him, clearly as I was standing beside him... and all the traces of the pain suffered during his illness were gone... he was at peace..I woke up straight away...it was 2pm.

Upon arriving home to the family home, my famil met me outside the house to tell me that my dad was in the house for a traditional wake, I enquired as to what time they brought him home, it was at 1.55pm that very day. Hi s face was exactly as i had seen him in my "dream"......

I will add, that i don't believe in god or an afterlife..... But it sure did make me think
