"A new superbug that is resistant to even the most powerful antibiotics has entered UK hospitals, experts warn.
They say bacteria that make an enzyme called NDM-1 have travelled back with NHS patients who went abroad to countries like India and Pakistan for treatments such as cosmetic surgery.
Although there have only been about 50 cases identified in the UK so far, scientists fear it will go global." source BBC.co.uk
Should we worry? The H1-N1 (Swine Flu) was a mild variant of the influenza bug and the UK Health Services went (unnecessarily) into overdrive in pandemic planning. This seems as virulent as H1-N1 and as potentially lethal as H1-N2 (Bird Flu) Should we be frightened?
There will always be new ones to replace the old..If there wasn't this world be way over populated..Its just nature trying to keep a balance..in my opinion...

Yes, you should be frighten, move your vibrational set point to fear and have the cash ready when the vaccine comes out. The people coming up with the vaccine are certainly the same people or related with the ones having let the the bug/virus out of the labor in the first place. Don't be surprised if Tamiflu is the answer - they still have some old stock they've to get rid off
This is pure speculation on my part, it is not fact in any way.
It is curious that every couple of years we hear of a new flu or pandemic that until now was unheard of. Interstingly it seems to coincide with the onset of the northern winter.
It seems to me that due to the preservatives that we absorb through our foods we do seem to be on average living longer and are more resistant to diseases and illnesses that 50 years ago would have crippled us.
So my theory is the only ones who have anything to lose and the most to gain from our illnesses are the pharmacuetical companies. They have the access and means to create and or to mutate existing viruses all so that can flog off a new vaccine or cure and keep the profit margin from disappearing.
Far fetched? probably, but it does make you wonder why before the millenium no one had even heard of swine OR bird flu...

P.S. Hi Chasing Cars
I don't quite agree with the sentiment of digging at nurses but you are right. The nurses uniform is a barrier against infection and as such should not be worn outside of the hospitals. There was a time when the nursing colleges used to hammer this message home to them.
Nakedpackage: In europe 50 million 1918 died of Flu. Medicine has advanced but the bugs adapt and the strong survive.
Got to admit we havent been thinned out since WW11 so we're due.
Cheery note........
I go along with this point of view. Taking the planet as an ecosystem, then of course Nature will come up with various illnesses and Viurs to "THIN US OUT" from time to time. Over time there's be plagues, virus after virus, natural disasters etc.
At 6 billion and rising there are already too many of us on the planet, it seems whether it's TB, AIDS, HIV, Cancer, ebola or hurricanes, tornado's or earthquakes... mother nature will regin supreme

I didn't think it was illegal right enough.
Hi Amigo ,
Wasnt digging at nurses just making a truthfull observation ,have also had an ex parner who is a nurse and she pointed the ruling out to me ..
When i thought about it, it seemed logical but seeing it happen most of the time it appears to the lay person as just a normal part of daily life and goes without question ..
P.s , now ill probebly get posts from some nurses who dont do it ,,but the thing is those who do it let the others down ...

We are just ants to be squashed....
Predictions are for the world population to increase to 7.6 billion within a short time, most of the world eats rice so a bug that devastates the paddy fields would cause starvation that would probably lead to wars. Don’t get me started on what’s beneath Yellowstone national park, that’s due! and serveral years of darkness to follow.
