Some of the male posters on this forum appear to be attractive, obviously I'm not going to mention any names. I get the usual amount of ridiculous mails, which I assume we all get, but strangely none from anyone that I fancy. But I'm a picky auld wan.. lol
The Ring Carrying White Owls that I was going to feed, along with the Unicorns, a few posts back, was a reference to the spacey, trippy, hippy, forested world with baddies, that people who play online fantasy games usually "emote" about. Nothing dirty at all, lol
*Glances at Frayas profile, hmmmm, a fit/athletic, 5'8, green eyed, auburn haired 50 year old..Yummy*
*Licks her lips, checks herself in the mirror, and walks confidently towards the pretty woman who is blushing charmingly* (Hoping Witty isn't going to be too disappointed when she realises I really am not a man)
No, I'm only Margaret, I've been here for a few years, on and off,(read my other forum posts) I'm a marginally frustrated, slightly unstable, real person, a bit like most of you here, male and female I have been accused of trolling here before, but trolling doesn't mean an alternative identity, it just means posting things that irritate other people..
This thread isn't supposed to be trolling, by the way..
And I'll leave Greensleeves bum to PomPom, thank you..
As a frequent lurker and occasional troll on these forums, I've noticed a poster using what we used to refer to as "emoting" in her posts. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, this is a practice where you are actually describing how you feel, usually in parenthesis or using an asterisk. It's very popular in MMORPG, and in most online role-play games, but looks strangely antiquated and quaint on a dating site forum, where we have a wide range of Emoticons that we can use for expressing ourselves.
Does anyone else, other than me, cringe when we see someone "emoting"?
*runs away into the forest, to hide from the bad wolves who are going to attack this young girl*
A troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
I know what a troll is, thank you, I didn't notice any on-topic postings by you on this post, or any other , for that matter.
And I appear to have a habit of "telling people off" ?
I'm here to connect with a partner, not to discuss world politics.
No, you're wrong,it's not "quite rude, really", we all have a right to say exactly what we think about what anyone posts here. As far as I'm concerned a topic like this is SPAM, on a site that I'm a member of, so why don't you try mailing some women your own age here, and stop Trolling around the forums..
RE: My recent break up !!!
Good luck with that
