Joy I wouldn't put too much weight on what Barbara Walters or the rest of the media or how they've chosen to report something. I've learned from experience with how they enjoy twisting things to their own advantage it's really only about their viewership anyhow.

My son had the same feelings you have regarding older women. There weren't too many of his peers his own age that he chose to hang with cause to him they were too immature.I suppose because he acted mature for his age he expected others to conduct themselves the same way too.
