there is no tomorrow
there is no yesterday
there is only now they say
and yes today i remember
laughing together at the beauty we shared
the moment we knew our love
for we were together so pure and perfect then.
your poem to me your musicman
the gift of your precious heart
and the many little things
words kisses looks
a thousand dreams
a new beginning
we had everything.
and yesterday i was happy
and now i am sad
because i remember these things today,
and these memories that once lifted my heart
now weigh me down like a guilty thief
and i dont believe i will ever be happy again.
where ever i go
i secretly look for you
hoping for a chance meeting
that i know would do no good,
you would at most be polite
before taking flight.
i am a memory you would rather forget
and i cannot blame you
i will remain forever
a day in the sadness of a broken heart

About this poem:
written about the breakdown of a recent relationship (such a rare thing) that was beautiful until it wasn't ! as they say you dont know what you've got until its gone.that is so true ! dont think its a great poem but better out than in !

fly pretty bird
swoop and soar
dive towards earth and then
with seconds to spare
pull away and glide once more
fly pretty bird
the cupped hands that once held you
now come together in prayer
praise the beauty that now
is released once more
sing pretty bird
sing a song to freedom
sing a song to love
sing sweet and strong
and somewhere in the night your love will hear you
and the stars will sparkle in the sky
like they have never done before
smile pretty bird
and know the hands that held you dear
live forever with the pleasure
of the love that flew from here
