“oo”

All right, this one will probably confuse most of you, but if you truly read it, not just for rhyming, which it does through out, it actually does make sense. Read it a few times or so, if you must, if you still don't get it, then simply enjoy the complexity of the rhyme of the poem. No, it's not a rap.

“oo” <----the web site changed what it's suppose to be. It's suppose to show the dashes over the o's to show the long O sound.

Andrew, Mathew, who’s who,
eating Irish stew in Honolulu.
New blue shoe residue,
cheating fish threw lanolin shampoo.
Witches, corkscrew hairdo, brew,
cook until well done.
Bitches, Zulu kung-fu, review.
Look downhill, smell venison.
True-blue voodoo tattoo,
outgrew you and onto Xanadu avenue.
Taboo shih-tzu “jujitsu” zoo.
Untrue Malibu sand withdrew into view.

CHIMERA

And here is yet another one of my lyrics from the past. I hope you all enjoy, or at least some of you do.

CHIMERA

(verse 1)
I’m scared to go to sleep,
so, I fight to stay awake.
But, I know the sandman will eventually win,
and my eyes will become heavy like a zeppelin.
Until that time comes around,
I’ll play him for the fool.
I can’t explain why I’m terrified,
the words aren’t taught in school.

(chorus)
I’m trapped in a scream dream,
and serenity is coming up fast.
Things aren’t quite what they seem,
and the calm won’t last.
Now, I”m floating on a lake,
with the eternal crystal snake.

(verse 2)
My skin turns as white as coke,
and my blood scorches my veins.
The walls are closing in all around me,
and the snowflakes burn through to my soul.
There’s an exit somewhere, but, I can’t see,
how do I get out of this hellhole?
Will you help me find my way,
or, have you already closed the doorway?

(chorus)
I’m trapped in a scream dream,
and serenity is coming up fast.
Things aren’t quite what they seem,
and the calm won’t last.
Now, I”m floating on a lake,
with the eternal crystal snake.

(verse 3)
I put my feet on the cold tile,
a floor that’s as old as the dead.
I pass out and choke,
you think it’s a joke.
I’m gambling for my life, against the grim reaper,
but, I’ve got the aces up my sleeves.
Now, I’m walking in the valley,
between the living and the dead.

(chorus)
I’m trapped in a scream dream,
and serenity is coming up fast.
Things aren’t quite what they seem,
and the calm won’t last.
Now, I”m floating on a lake,
with the eternal crystal snake.

FADE OFF INTO THE BLUE

Here's another one of my lyrics from years ago.

FADE OFF INTO THE BLUE

(verse 1)
I’ve lived a short life,
for which my tears have gone dry.
A state of mental confusion,
from a mother and father.
Twisted lies, twisted truth,
which to believe, which to distrust.

(chorus)
Will I shine like the sun,
and glow with self loving esteem?
Or shall i fade off into the blue,
with a mind that’s bashed by depression?

(verse 2)
A man that’s lost on a path,
that was created by a child.
What was it that I dreamed?
Was it lost in days of yesteryear.
Did daddy do what mother said he did,
and did mommy suffer the way she claimed?

(chorus)
Will I shine like the sun,
and glow with self loving esteem?
Or shall i fade off into the blue,
with a mind that’s bashed by depression?

(verse 3)
When I turn old and gray,
will my friends and family stay?
Will I abuse my wife with fists?
Could I end up beating my kids verbally?
Can I conquer the sickness,
or will it just be a fantasy?

(chorus)
Will I shine like the sun,
and glow with self loving esteem?
Or shall i fade off into the blue,
with a mind that’s bashed by depression?

CHANGE TO BLACK

The following is yet another one of my lyrics that I wrote years ago.

“Change to black”

(verse 1)
I can’t see where we’re headin’,
don’t want to know where we’ve been.
I see the skies,
changing in your eyes.
The heaven’s begin to thunder,
as angels start to weep.
No, I can’t help, but, I wonder,
if it was something in my sleep.

(chorus)
The hatred that spreads around,
makes a world that’s loveless.
And hearts that are destitute and slack,
will shrivel up and change to black.

(verse 2)
The earth starts to shake,
as hell’s dominions laugh.
My body burns as it begins to quake,
and your love is something I'll never have.
Sometimes I have to ask my self,
why the worlds screams at me.
I doubt I’ll ever know the answer,
because I’m the only one here!

(chorus)
The hatred that spreads around,
makes a world that’s loveless.
And hearts that are destitute and slack,
will shrivel up and change to black.

(Finished…..for now, may add more at another time.)

HOUSE MOUSE

HOUSE MOUSE

Out from the big house,
ran a little, gay, mouse.
Wearing an old tattered blouse,
and looking for some crack.
Out of no where he heard a loud shot,
and turned around to look at his back.
I should've stayed straight was his final thought

Vampire

“Vampire”

There’s a lady hanging around in my abattoir,
I met her at some, snooty, local discotheque.
The red liquid spurts from her jugular,
when my fangs puncture her tender neck.

Untitled from 1995 (not the actual title name) LOL

I stand alone in symposiums that confer,
listening to them build up their vanity.
They gossip behind their bottles of liquor,
with complete disregard for other people’s privacy.

Feel free to make suggestions for the title. Not saying I'd use it. I more than likely wouldn't, as this as well as a few of my other poems and lyrics, have gone without a title for nearly 20 years.

Invent a time machine and time travel back to 1995, and ask me what this poem is about, if you want to know what it's about, or just let it be about what you think it's about.

“What to say today in May to Jay”

“What to say today in May to Jay”

Silly little plastic man,
siting on your can.
Sucking on your thumb,
snickering at the scum.
Glaring at the moon,
staring at a loon.
Screaming that you are he or she,
dreaming that you could be like me.
Run quickly towards the fat old sun,
fun times are waiting with your gun.
Fading beam in your eye,
fading gleam in your sky.

like most of the poems I wrote, I was probably just having fun with the word play and/ or rhyming of it.

Charlie's Kids

Here is yet another one of my lyrics. Written way back in 1995.

And to answer a question, before it may be asked.... yes, the "charlie" is referring to Charles Manson. Thankfully that psycho is locked up.

About this poem:
I don't remember why I wrote it, perhaps I found a subject matter, perhaps I had seen a movie, who knows. Or maybe I just felt like writing, and that's what I came up with.

About this poem:
I wrote it for a friend, that had just found out that her husband had been cheating on her. He also was rarely ever around, for her and their 3 year old son. He was out of town a lot, I think studying to be a cook or doing cook work up in northern MN.

So, no, the poem is not about me.

Why must we choose a category? That's stupid. I also don't know what the style is. My poem is what it is, heck some of you might not even call it a poem.
