Smútok

She sat in solitude on the rocky shore.
My boat I slowed, no movement in my oar.
I heard her, yet no sound did she make.
Her eyes, her smile, I felt a quake.
She wanted to talk, nothing more.

Intoxicated by her beauty,
Spurned by male fault.
I kissed her with my heart,
Even though my brain knew to halt.

She too was charmed, but in a way.
She wanted to go, she wanted to stay.
She was not the siren, She was the muse.
I hoped I had gained, only to lose.

She wanted calm, she wanted peace.
I evoked feelings, not to be released.
I was the siren, created the pain
She wanted her solitude, once again

I came to the rocky shore
I followed the rolling tide,
Yet she did not wave to me
She did not want me by her side.
