Day by Day part 2

Day by Day Part 2

Day by day as life continues on,
Whether I see thee or not
Thy haunt my mind worse then any night spirit
Day or night you wrestle with my thoughts
Whether in the east or west
Or a year or three has sped by
Your still my true love, my true love to be.

As the lightning dances across the sky
You’re my only thought till homeward boundt
Of all places traveled spent
There is always a place in my heart for you and only you
Though days pass and we each get older
You are the only radiant thing in my life
Brighter luster then freshly minted coinage,
Your love worth more then the king’s ransom
So be my love, my love to be.

Day by day now slowly pass,
My beacon now replaced by bacon
My heart stolen, you gone for another man
I still wait for thee, though thou shalln’t come
Broke, broken and punch drunk
Left wallowing in the rain, not even a goodbye.
If you came back, I’d say no though I still love you
I love you with all my heart,
So why couldn’t you’ve been my life, my love, my only love to be

Insert Title Here

Mountains may rise and fall, but I never
My heart shall hold love for thee forever
It sings, for thine and mine equal in soul,
fierce, frenzied, passion pierced through flesh and bone
senses electrified, thoroughly honed
So true us, as the ocean’s gentle roll
It seems a strange magic, your precious lips
Eyes as deep as black night, filled with starlight
Nothing can divide us, even poem rewrites.
Thy beauty, Aphrodite can not compete
This love conceived, so innocent and young
Tender as the new tamarack needles
Pure as kittled white snow, soft as new lamb
Withstanding the legions of time and age
A love greater then any wall or storm
Beyond other man’s power to destroy
So incorruptible that Satan hides,
So incorruptible, ours is ever after.

Day By Day

Day by day I wander,
New sights old sights distant past,
The seeker, the hunter,
On the endless journey.

Mountains raise, mountains fall
Streams shrivel beneath unforgiving rays
My quest still fresh,
You, still miles away.

My love unconquered,
always searching for
someone true, lonely
for till then shall remain the hunter.

Till we meet, and touch
Till thine holds thy heart,
Till she declares me hers,
I will travel the endless road through Dante's Hell.

About this poem:
Wrote it on the spur of the moment. Personally John Donne could have done better, or Lawerance Farhinetti. But then again not bad for an amateur. Hope there isn't too many embarraising misspelling, etc.
