We had our own brand in Sweden during the same period.

Husqvarna, which looks very similar to Singer.

I bet the both worked well. It might be difficult finding parts to them now.

Believe it or not ABC, that sewing machine looks like the SINGER machine that I had and the table with the treadle pedal. In later years the pedal was converted to be used with electricity. It was my mother's machine that I inherited. I made a lot of clothes for myself and my baby daughter on that sewing machine. A magnificent sewing machine.

Daytona was quite a character. His sense of humor had a bad boy edge but he was always polite. I'm sure he has met up with Jeeepers (Buddy) a member who pasted away last year

I want to apologize for my last posted puzzle. I asked CS to remove it and they did. It's gone now. I simply picked the wrong picture.

They look like they could be kind of easily painted on with different colors of polish. Yeah, is real cool photo!

The paintings on the nails are simply the flags of the Nordic countries, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland. I thought the picture was cool. It’s just a picture I found on the Internet. It looks like the nails are painted.

Very expressive nail symbols! Are they your nails? Did you paint the symbols on yourself, or apply decals?

Just heard only 23 days left for the "black box" to send pings. They need to start looking over land. I believe the transponders were physically turned off (just like they were on Sept. 11th) and that the plane was hijacked and landed. Probably well hidden in an airplane hanger. Just a feeling I have. Wouldn't it be wonderful to find all 239 people alive

I truly hope they'll find the plane. They need to locate the "black box", it only runs for a shorter period of time.
I would guess the plane have crashed.

It's a plane. It doesn't matter what the number is. The purpose of the puzzle is to ask people to send prayers that the plane is found. Not necessary to be so critical

Yes, Canada won the game!

The Swedish media covered the Swedish NHL player, who had used banned substances (not banned in NHL though) more than the outcome of the game. This is a game Swedes want to forget!
You mentioned Canada having a population of 35 million; we’re only 9 million. You’re a great hockey nation, but so are Sweden and Finland too. The latter beat USA with 5-0 and that’s great considering they’re only 5 million people!

Sweden beat Canada in the Olympics in Lillehammer 1994 (the picture above).

It ended up as a stamp here! Your goal keeper did his best to protest against it, but they wouldn’t listening to him.
