on the Denali Hiway Puzzle

this pic is taken on the road that goes from paxson to cantwell (alaska). its 80 miles of a 2 lane wide dirt road. at the top of the hiway you can get a great view of mt mckinnley on a clear day. I opted to camp out near this spot and the next day it rained. I never did get to see mt mckinnley from the top of this hiway but thats reason enough to go back and do that road again

I am glad you enjoyed it. That was one of the most awesome trips I have taken so far here and I have gone on several road trips. On that trip I got to see a baby moose calf be born and also met a retired couple that the husband had caught a bunch of greyling (fish) and the wife cooked up the fish and hush puppies. When I went on my way they sent me with a HUGE plate of food. I munched that all day while piddling along at 20 MPH and finding awesome places to take pics or play my guitar
OK who's coming to Alaska next summer....time for another road trip

any time from late june through august is good. mid july on the state bird (mosquitos) wont be so bad so just let me know when your coming and its ROAD TRIPPING TIME
